The Blue Lagoon Beach Resort was AMAZING! My only regret, is having to leave. We arrived on the catamaran around 12:45 and were greeted by staff singing to us welcoming us with a complimentary drink. 'Catamaran Advise'- splurge on the Captains lounge option!! We were then taken to our Deluxe Beach Front Villa, and although it wasn't extravagant, it was Perfect. We absolutely loved the outside bathroom and shower!!! The deck made us feel like we were on the ocean, and pretty private. This Villa has Wi-Fi, A/C and T.V. with Netflix. Besides B.L.B.R. being Paradise, the staff is really amazing. Most live in nearby villages, and don't make enough money! Special shout out to; Akelee, Joseph, Josh, Tima, Elee, Maria, Mari, Tony, Louisa, Bena, John, Manasa, Vetilee, Voli, Anna, Lourata, and my friend Johnny that combs the beach!! These people make your stay very memorable, and enjoyable. We did the meal plan, and the food was different, but very good. The palate took a couple days to adjust to local, but native, seasonings. We were never hungry, but we were right on time for each meal too. We did the cave trip, which we enjoyed and I would recommend. But the Village trip was my favorite part, and really humbled me. We gave to the village Chief a bag of Bras, Hats, Glasses, and school pencil bags. I was also given Kava Root to present to the Chief, and WOW what an experience. The word of our gifts pretty much made it around the island by the next day. We were stopped by so many locals and staff, thanking us for our contributions to their village. The water wasn't crystal clear but it was very clear. Our vacation was at the end of the rainy season, so water was just a little merky because of rain. Snorkeling was still fun, and we have all of our own snorkeling equipment. We also did a kayak for a bit, and that was nice. The hiking trail was muddy, but up we went anyways. So beautiful past peak #2 and you can see so much of the island. The resort has beautiful foliage and flowers. You must enjoy a Kava Ceremony, we did every night. Those guys are really cool, and make you feel comfortable. When leaving on a Friday the staff again sang to us as we were put on the boat to go home. If you are thinking of going to Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, Do It. Tell everyone Hi from Steve and Chas.
