In light of the cyclone Winston that just went through and that Fiji itself declared a state of emergency and the NZ government travel advisory says for us not to travel, the hotel is greedy in not refunding guests of their booking for circumstances beyond their control. They would not have been able to accommodate guests to the standard expected either. I understand that our travel insurance covers this but all the other hotels we booked for our round-the-island trip had the goodwill and decency to refund our booking fees in full (100%)
