I am so glad I called John when I adopted my pitbull! Once he arrived on the scene the results were immediate and impressive! My pup is both strong and dominant. She is super sweet, but definitely needed training. She would pull at everything she saw: dogs, squirrels, leaves blowing in the wind! She would take me on walks and run the show completely. I myself did not have enough knowledge to correct her behavior, so I immediately started looking online for a suitable trainer. I saw John’s 5-star reviews and his specialty experience with pitbulls and knew that I should contact him and set up a session. John provided me with the understanding, tools, & education to train, communicate and improve my relationship with my pup! Now she walks right by my side and sits upon command! John installed a Hidden Fence for us. It was professionally done at a reasonable price. He also trained our Golden Retriever puppy on it, plus gave her some basic obedience training. We are satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him.

I have a very stubborn German Shepherd puppy. I started training her at 4 months old. I did puppy classes at first with other dogs. She was too interested in everything but listening to me. The treat method of training was not for her. A friend recommended John. She used him for her shepherds. After even the first visit I became optimistic. I saw a change. The E collar brought her down to a level that she could listen to me. I'm still working with John. He's great! I would recommend him highly!

After giving the box store trainers a crack at handling my dogs, I felt it was time to get some results. Having two large, dominant dogs in a Cane Corso and a great dane, changes started to occur within 5 minutes of John's presence.
Having had dogs my entire life, it definitely takes more than handbook training in order to not only reach and understand the dogs behavior, but to engage them as well. Whether it is inate and you are born with it, or a skill you acquire over time, John has a presence and demeanor about him that captivates dogs.
Avoid headaches, disappointment and wasted time by having John not only show your dog how to act, but you the owner/handler as well. Would never hesitate to use John or pro dog academy again on my animals.

John installed a Dog Watch hidden fence a few years ago when we adopted a rescue. The safety it provides my dog and thus the comfort it provides our family is immeasurable...we can't live without it! When I recently had a break in my fence due to renovation construction, John was super quick responsive to my urgent text that I was having an issue. We wanted to rescue a dog, but we didn't have the money and strength (my husband wanted to do the labor) to install actual fencing around the entire property. We met an older couple at a dog park who raved about John. Until the installation, we could only walk Monty on a leash and he is HIGH energy, so he was going crazy. John gave us a great quote and got started right away. He helped train Monty to know where the fence was. The fence has been a great success! He chases groundhogs, squirrels, rabbits and deer in the yard, but knows exactly how far he can go. John is very professional and has great customer support. We highly recommend!

All of our sheperds always stayed within our property lines, but then came Kamali who seem to push our buttons alittle and of course we didn't want anything to happen to her. So through a friend we got John. He installed the invisible fence and after seeing how she responded to his voice we decided to start her with training. We just started the training and so far so good. She can be stubborn but we are working on that. We are very pleased with how John handles her. I'm looking forward to weeks to come. We even recommended John to friends that are having some issues with their dog. So if you are having any problems with your dog, we do recommend John.

My experience with John was amazing , I had john install my electric fence 4 years ago I recently got a new pup and called him to help train her on the fence, He emailed me back right away and was available at my convenience. I met John when I was walking my dog in my neighborhood. I had tried a couple of different trainers and had not seen great results with my dog. I even had driven my dog everyday for three weeks to puppy school but other than basic commands my dog was out of control unless you had food in your hand!
Once John started working with us we saw instant results! We recently adopted a second dog and I called John and he once again came to my rescue! Both dogs are doing amazing! Had our Dog Watch invisible fence installed last year. John came out to walk the property and discuss our needs. He obviously is a dog "trainer" as well because he controlled my dog instantaneously. He was very knowledgeable. Great service, great price! John was terrific!
We also purchased the disks for the interior of our house so that we could keep the dog out of certain rooms without having to use all those baby gates! I love the whole system. Highly recommend.

John installed the Dog Watch brand fencing at our home about 9 months ago for our German Shepherd mix who frequently escaped our property by squeezing through our fence or running out the front door. This fencing has been a life saver for us and our dog. Our dog is now safely contained and has not "escaped" at all. The Dog Watch brand is very reliable - no issues at all. John made sure our dog and family learned how the system worked. After only one training session, our dog knew the boundaries. I would highly recommend John and Dog Watch brand fencing. John was fantastic. We had a head strong out of control 10 month old rescue. With in five minutes working with John the dog knew who was in charge. It was John and not him. John installed the fence. He did a neat and clean job. At first the dog didn't respect the line. After the first week John came back and work with the dog and us on training. I can't be happier with the transformation in just a few weeks. Our dog is calmer and more obedient. Thank you for giving us a happy well behaved dog.
