My dog was admitted late on a Monday night in November 2020. He was in terrible pain and vomiting blood and was seen immediately by such kind staff, who looked after me just as well as they looked after him.
The veterinary surgeon asked me targeted questions and immediately came up with a plan of action. There was no umming and ahhing and head-scratching, which has been my experience of so many vets in the past. These vets were very clear about the things they wanted to test for and the treatment they wanted to give and asked for my permission at every stage, never running any tests or carrying out any procedures throughout the 4 nights the dog was in hospital without asking me first. They kept me updated several times a day and I never had to chase them for information.
It was a very stressful time because the dog was so very poorly and the coronavirus pandemic was raging, but the staff at every level were kind and gentle and professional throughout. Although they are a bit too far away from where I live to be my regular vets, I feel much more confident knowing they are in the area in case of another emergency. Really brilliant, knowledgeable, caring animal hospital.
I have seen some other comments about how expensive they are and it is true that they are not cheap, but animal care is expensive and these are highly trained professionals. You get what you pay for and, in my experience, the staff at this hospital are worth their weight in gold. I just can’t thank them enough for what they did.
