We took our cat in an emergency because he throw up all night, wich I understanded that we have to pay an emergency fee but doesn't cover anything not even a proper check up wich anyway was not done properly. After she barely looked at our cat she just started to present us with quotes over quotes trying to scare us with the worst scenarios and possible surgery and more quotes.
After I explained her all the medical history of our cat and explained her that we know that he is a healthy cat overall as we did most of the test in the last year but in the past one time he overgroomed himself and got some hairball stuck and had similar reaction and the doctor just gave us some medicine to help with his stomachache from irritation and prescribed some specific food to help him push the hairball and he was fine in short time...overall in past we tried some medicine and different diet before going for all the tests and discuss about surgery and other scenarios as the cat was not in a worrying state as it was this time.
We ended up paying a lot of money leaving with no diagnose at all and more confused that we where when we walked in, our cat was feeling still a bit mellow for the next few hours and I m not saying the medicine they gave him was the only helpful thing they did in the moment, but now he is fine and atleast she could encourage us to monitor him for a little bit longer before discussing about surgery and very expensive x rays as our cat was and is not in a very sick state and was nothing more than some irritation from throwing up and has not showed us visible sickness symptoms overall (using the litter normally, eating, playing, etc.) Big, big rip-off!!!
I am sorry for all the animal owners in need of real help that will end up here as it's more of a quoting place than hospital.
