I have been with Goddard for 7 years, and once I had to bring in my Yorkie for an emergency, I can't lie and say I wasn't beyond worried after reading the reviews for this branch. It was too late for me to look into further options as he needed immediate attention, however, I cannot emphasise how grateful I am to the entire staff that looked after my little one while he was in their care.
I waited 2 months to write this review just to make sure I can capture the whole experience accurately.
My 13 year old Yorkshire has been suffering from kidney stones for the past year and a half, until April when his state deteriorated drastically and he became severely dehydrated. We then knew that we either have to proceed with the surgery, or we will have to say goodbye soon.
Yes, the surgery was expensive. Yes, there were risks associated with the anaesthesia. However, I will say that you do get what you paid for. The staff prepares you for the worst, including money wise. Although it was expensive, I did end up paying less than initially advised as they quote you the highest possible price to ensure you are ready.
If I remember correctly he was hospitalised somewhere around 4-5 days, when the vets made sure to call me at least 2-3 times a day to provide me with an update on his condition. When I discharged him from the clinic, he was a new dog. After the surgery, I had a few complementary visits as I was a bit worried about certain things and the vets made sure to accommodate the checkups any time of the day.
2 months later and my baby has made a full recovery and so far had no complications. Special thanks to surgeon Anna & the entire team of nurses, vets and reception staff who put up with me during those stressful times and made sure my little one is looked after.
