We took our cat in beginning of September 2020 as he hadn't been eating for a few days. Ran some tests and said his kidney is badly damaged and will not recover, possibly cancer.
Kept him in for a week, gave him fluids, ran repeat tests and said he was not getting better.
Suggested we put him down.
We decided to take him home and let him die naturally and he's still alive 3 months later. Test results are all fine now.
Not sure of the exact reason for initial deterioration, possibly poisoning.
Don't think the vets advised properly or considered all possibilities appropriately.
Back in 2017, our cat was in for treatment for a couple of days, went to pick him up and smelt of urine- they didn't bother to clean his kennel because he was apparently feisty.
Can't recommend based on our long term history.
