Friendly practice from reception to consultation. Emily Stacey in particular we find to be a superb vet, taking us and our little dog through a cancer episode with quiet efficiency and very helpful advice.

I would like to thank John Gardiner for his kindness when we had to bring Alfie in on Christmas Eve The outcome was sad but he was so kind and considerate

Today i visited Goddard vets in Wanstead for the second time after visiting my local branch in Mile End twice .I felt intimidated by one on the receptionist she made a comment about my dog wearing a scarf which I was ok to remove it and yes it was a dog scarf which I purchased from pets at home ,then she made it her business again to make swipe as to “is your dog comfortable in a harness which I bought again from a reputable pet outlet ,the reason for this is I do not live close to Wanstead and travelling by train and my dog is very frightened and the only way she’s comfortable is when she is being carried in the dog harness ,I really felt a sense of being bullied as I was just telling the person who recommended Goddards. My dog is due an operation on both her knee caps ,but I doubt it will be with Goddards because it’s not cheap and no one on earth would fork out that sort of cash if they had no love for their animals ,which is a shame as Dr John Gardener seems a very experienced veterinary nurse and I felt comfortable leaving my dog in his hands,I defiantly will not be recommending this vet or will I use it again .

took my parakeet here, the vet examined her for a fee of £95 which seemed outrageous, my parakeet was already breathing with difficulty and then the vet tried selling us an analogue of morphine as an injection for pain relief claiming it is morally right. I don't think there were any morals here, and Goddard were seeing a family in plight and turning it into a money-making opportunity. Morphine causes respiratory depression and this was being sold at a further cost of £110. When asked if we can see the vet administer the medicine- he abruptly said: 'NO! NO YOU CAN'T'. The vet then told me to make my mind up quickly because he has a 'real emergency' to attend to. I found that condescending. We were then told to wait to pay for the examination fee. We had to wait 20 minutes before a nurse finally took payment from us. By this time my parakeet was dead. Worse experience of a vet ever and would never ever consider taking a pet there again.

I took my cat for an ultrasound and an x-ray. Whilst picking her up, I found out that they forgot to do the x-ray, so my cat stayed overnight so as to do it the following day. It was quite distressing for both me and my cat (she's been quite sick), but the service apologised for the mistake and did their best to resolve the issue. They did the tests just fine.

Very disappointed with the Vets service. I have registered my dog 2 years ago and never had any major issues with her until last week Tuesday, after they have done the annual vaccine. My dog started feeling unwell vomiting and had a bloody diarrhea. I took her to be checked out on Friday and I was told that I have to leave my dog in the hospital. There was no much done for her for the two days she was in the hospital. No one called me to let me know how my dog is, so I had to call every morning and receptionist staff was rude, but the price you pay for the hospital is huge and all they care is money. At the end when they discharged my dog, I have asked what the reason is for my dog to be infected I was told that they are not sure, but maybe its a reaction to the vaccine. People, do your research before signing your pet in Goddard.

I've registered my 2 cats here and had 1 of them neutered. Service seems average. Appointment times are reasonably on time. Cost seems a bit expensive, but not unreasonable. I'm surprised to see so many the 5 star and 1 star ratings tbh. I've been going for a while now and from my personal experience don't think they warrant either. I'm satisfied with them and won't be changing anytime soon.

Best hospital ever to treat a pet. Dr. Ryan rescued my cat who is over 16 years of age from fluid around the heart. Few months later my cat developed DKA type M and again Dr. Ryan gave her the best possible care. Always recommend this hospital, all staff are very professional and friendly. Will always come back to them for further treatments. Thank you All.
