These guys must be investigated for misconduct. I have friends who lost their dogs with Goddard. High bills, messed up diagnosis or no diagnosis at all. In the end it's the pet that suffers to death and the owners watching their beloved pets dying while wallets being emptied.

Words will never be enough to express my feelings caused by those who used my sweetie to make some extra cash and let her fade away until the moment when she was finally gone, physically and mentally. The so called treatment my dog received was not just inadequate, it wasn't a real treatment. She was only given some meds to 'controll' the symptoms so a number of vets could have the chance to pay visits and get generous payments. After a number of meaningless tests and no diagnose I already had to pay £800 for a stay which prolonged less than 48 hours. No one was telling me what was wrong with my dog. They only asked for more tests and more money. The tests became more expensive. It was like a spiral leading me to bankruptcy. With no cash left, I had to watch my dog duying. She is now gone and I have to deal with her loss and the massive debt I have to pay. Thank you Goddard.

This is an amazing, caring practice. I can't recommend the reception staff, nurses or vets enough for their compassion, professionalism, and caring methodology in looking after both pets and owners in at times extremely difficult situations. I can't recommend, or thank, the vet, Thomas, enough. He explains in plain English, so that even I could understand, what was wrong with my pet, the treatment needed, all possible outcomes in the most gentlest way. And what the future would be for my pet. In a way that I could be able to make an informed decision, that put my pet first. His handling of my pet during treatment, gave me such confidence in the fact I had chosen the right practice to bring my pet. As before stated, he explained what he was doing and why, as he was doing it. He fully explained why my pet was behaving as it was, while he was doing it. Everything was done at my pets pace. There was no stress, there was no rushing, as if your on a conveyor belt, rushing to the next pet and you're thrown out of the door. Please use this practice for all your pet care, you will not be disappointed with your choice. I don't work for this group, nor do any of my family. Just saying.

Goddards is an excellent vets. Esin who we normally see is kind, compassionate and I trust her completely to take the best care of my cats. The reception staff and nurses are friendly and helpful. I would not use any other vet. I thoroughly recommend them

I took my cat to them twice in one week as he’d lost a lot of weight and was physically unable to eat. At the first appointment He was given a physical examination, the vet checked his mouth for obstructions etc gave him an antibiotic and drew blood for a blood test. The vet completely missed the lump on my cats face which I myself didn’t notice till that evening when I was giving him his meds and hand feeding him, but then I neither examined him prior to the appointment nor am I a vet. I thought the lump was an absyss so made the second appointment and pointed it out to the second vet. She barely looked at the ‘absyss’ but quickly recommended a scan (£350), a CT scan (£550) and an op to lance and clean the absyss (£1500) I just had a bad feeling, a gut feeling that they were missing something, so I made another appointment at a different vets for a second opinion. This vet found the lump and looked properly inside the cats mouth and showed me the very large and obvious tumour growing inside the cats mouth. I asked how long it’d take for it to have grown to that size, she said at least a few weeks. Therefore, there’s no way it wasn’t present or too small to be noticed by the first 2 vets. She gave him pain killers and a different antibiotic for his chest infection (which was also not mentioned by the other vets) and his tumour is being biopsied tomorrow. Thanks to the painkillers, my boy is eating a bit better now, as it’s not hurting as much to eat. How is it possible that 2 vets failed to examine the my cat adequately enough to see the tumour in his mouth! So not only did both Goddard vets miss the tumour the meds administers and prescribed were totally wrong and ineffective for his issues as were the blood tests and their recommendation of scans, CT scans and an op. Due to their misdiagnosis I’ve lost £310 in vet fees and had I gone ahead with the scans etc as recommended, it would have gone up to around £2400ish. I’ve totally lost trust in this vet group and would only use them again in a life and death emergency simply because they are the closest 24 hour vets to me and even then I would try find an alternative.

Been here several times. Generally feel rushed by the vets. Some of whom struggle to explain things clearly. Receptionists looked uninterested. Follow up enquiry had to be chased. Overall a very expensive and average service though I am glad there is a vets close by and which had a 24 hour service which has saved it from a 1 star.
