Last night My cat bring a baby pigeon so we tried to save her. To feed the baby needed a syringe but couldn't find any where. Called goddard and the lady in reception said they have that. Once I reached their both receptionist were really helpful. I'm amazed with their service and thinking to use them for my cat. Special thanks to both receptionist.

The service I received was excellent. Everyone was very efficient and I really felt my pet ferret was loved and looked after. I would like to thank Marie for making sure he was comfortable whilst at the Goddards and Louise for performing his operation. Thank you.

When my Baby Midnight came home with a limp in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Dr Janice was the doctor on duty who took care of us. I can't thank her enough for her calm, kindly, caring manner and for the way she treated both of us (i tend to be a very anxious Mum!). HIghly recommend this practice and will definitely use again in an emergency (use GV Barking for standard appointments).

We have been going for three years with our cat Franky (who has used up a couple of his nine lives we fear) and think this place is really excellent. The vets are all knowledgeable and compassionate and the reception staff are also really lovely and helpful. Their advice is always clear and our cat has always recovered quickly with minimal stress. It is also open 24 hours a day and accepts emergency patients with no fuss. They have never pressure sold anything (like specialist food) and I consider their fees to be absolutely reasonable for the brilliant service they provide - pet owners should understand that private medical care for their pet can be costly before getting an animal. Definitely the best vets I've used to date - we feel very lucky to live so close by.

My cat has recently undergone a big op at Goddards in Wanstead. The service I received from everyone from reception to vets was fantastic. Mavis required urgent treatment for her condition and Goddards were able to perform the necessary treatment faster than the veterinary practice at which I work! The treatment costs for the surgery that she received were very reasonable and reception made claiming off my insurance very easy. Cannot recommend Shaun and the rest of the team enough.

I seem to have to the most accident prone cat that thinks he’s a dog! In his first year he’s had three trips to Goddard vet one being a laceration to his inner eye lid, and two times where he’s eaten things he shouldn’t! I have to say every single visit they have just been incredible! I really feel like they really care and love these animals and I’ve been kept informed on every occasion and he’s made a full recovery! They have also been brilliant at sending off insurance forms and generally answering any queries or advice over the phone! So glad we found this vet and we will be staying with them for many years to come!

My cat didn't seem too well and he was sleeping a lot so me and my wife decided to take him to the vet. The service at the reception was quite slow however he did receive the antibiotics he needed and was feeling much better the next day. They do always try and make you buy and do unnecessary treatments and products.

Very accomodating staff and good treatment. This is the first time we have visited a Vets (our little hamster had an exerted cheek pouch - which was quite frighenting to see) they took him in and operated straight away and he is recovering well. One thing I would suggest is to be more transparent about prices, not that we would have turned down the surgery but it would be good to know exactly what we are paying for before we agree to go ahead. All in all a good service and respectful lovely staff.

Brought my dog in for emergency treatment as he had a huge lump on his leg that had appeared overnight unexpectedly. Was NOT told on the phone that there wold be a premium fee just for seeing a vet. But okay, this was on Boxing Day so fair enough - I will swallow that. I asked if it could be paid through insurance as I didn't have the money at that precise moment, and the receptionists words were "yes I don't see why not". But when it came to making payment (treatment would be ongoing) I said that I would be adding it to the bill and will pay through insurance as we discussed earlier. "No, sorry we need payment today" is the response I got. She was very short and unsympathetic - not very friendly at all when I reminded her of our previous discussion. Again, like talking to a stony faced brick wall "no you have to pay today". I think Goddard need to urgently retrain their receptionist staff; from not being told of the fee to being told yes I can put it on insurance to no we need the money now! Extremely bad service from the receptionists, really not happy at all. The vet on the other hand was great, your support staff are letting you down!!!
