By far the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a retailer. I spent two weeks waiting for a keyboard and mouse to be delivered - express shipping paid for due to urgency. After several follow up emails and calls spanning over two weeks with no response, I was eventually told that the model I ordered was no longer available. My options - refund or order one of their more expensive models as there was nothing of similar value available. To be clear, price was not the issue here as we are talking $30-$50 keyboards. The service was poor as were the options or lack of options offered to resolve the issue for a disadvantaged customer - especially given it was a result of Austin's incompetence.

Terrible sales service. 3 days since requesting express delivery and still not even dispatched. Won't return emails, won't answer phone calls and don't bother waiting in the phone queue, you get the pleasure of leaving a message after holding for 30 minutes! Not good enough. If you can't handle the sales volume stop offering the service or at the very least communicate something on your website.

I was waiting for 32 minutes. They moved me from waiting position number 7 to number 1 and ended up with 'There is no one to answer your call right now'. It's such a waste of waiting time.

I called to check stock availability of a monitor screen that I’ve been eyeing. The male salesperson who picked up the phone was so rude. He told me it was out of stock and before I get to ask my next question, he hung up on me. Look, maybe it was busy at the store but you need to up your game the way you handle customer phone queries.

sent my computer in to have the CPU water cooler installed but was placed in the worst possible spot which causes my CPU to overheat. they also plugged the AIO pump in the wrong spot on the motherboard meaning the pump wasn't even on and pumping water. really disappointed...

Ordered and paid for a part on November 23 was told I would receive a call or text when it was ready for pickup. I actually needed it today, 3 months later, and had received no notification. Went into the store and was told it had never been ordered as they'd changed management - a common excuse I've seen on other recent 1 star reviews. My phone number wasn't even in the system, but luckily my untouched order was. Had to provide my bank details as they have to get it back from the previous owner - I don't feel like this problem should be pushed back onto the customer. I have kept the details as I don't expect to see my money back without having to contact consumer affairs. Still need to order the part, but will not be going through Austin. Extremely disappointed by the entire experience.

Took days to post an item that was in stock and ordered as express post. Called them to find out why it hadn't been sent yet and was told it would be sent that afternoon, but wasn't sent until the next day. Also don't provide tracking numbers automatically coz that's too hard for a computer company to figure out.

These guys used to be great... 8 years ago. Don't ever try to order online because you will be waited weeks upon weeks for an item which is supposed to be available the next day. If you do happen to visit in store, be prepared to wait because everytime a call comes in they will answer the call, regardless if you're next or if you're already being served at the counter. Absolutely horrible service. Go to PLE or even just order of ebay... Save yourself the hassle.

Terrible experience. Doing things against the Australian consumer law. Returned a hard-drive due to being faulty. Staff tried to charge me 20% fee on the refund. This goes against consumer law. You are entitled to repair, replacement or full refund. Don't let them try to do it to you.

Low technical knowledge, poor expectation management and poor customer service. I selected Austin Computers in Osborne Park because the computer I was interested in was in stock. When I arrived the questions I had of the computer could not be answered confidently and the computer would take 2 days to put together, so I paid for the computer and delivery. 3 days later I called and was told "If we haven't called you it is not ready", but would look into it and call me back. The end of the next day I called and was told "If they haven't called me it isn't ready"... This time the conversation ended that it would be followed up with an ETA... Which it was and I was told, they didn't have the graphics card in stock and the PC would cost another $90... Which I agreed to and paid over the phone.. I was also told it would be delivered the next morning. The next afternoon I called... Apparently the computer had not been picked up for delivery... But they said I could come by and pick it up. So... And uber trip later... I arrived... None of the documents were ready and they were surprised when I asked if they were still going to change me for delivery... Although the wait for that decision would have been longer than the cost of the uber ticking away... So I said don't bother. When I got home the computer worked well.... Although the invoice description did not match the upgraded version I paid for. Not my best shopping experience.

Really disappointed. Had a hard drive failure on my PC so needed to get a new drive ASAP to get back up and running and be able to complete work deadlines. Their website states that orders will be dispatched same day or the next day if recieved after 3pm. Paid for the order in full via PayPal, paid extra for express postage to ensure speedy delivery, as I am unable to get to the store during work hours. Called up 3 business days after ordering (with a weekend inbetween) as I hadn't heard to anything or been sent confirmation of postage, only to be told that the order hasn't even been packed yet as they are a "busy store". The guy I spoke to said he would follow it up and call me back straight away. That was 4 hours ago and still nothing... Pretty false advertising on their website regarding dispatch times. Had I known there would be such delay I would have ordered from another company Can't rely on these guys and will be looking elsewhere in the future.

Unprofessional, dishonest, unacceptable. Beware this company. Was promised a 5 day delivery. 20 days later the order hadn't even been made. I was promised my the sales manager this would be rectified if i paid a $150 down. In compensation they offered a 1 to 5 day speedy delivery and a free carrying case for my ordered laptop. Sales manager went on vacation and 2 months in I received a refund and an apology. They haven't paid their accounts with the distribution center and are making false promises that things will arrive that they can't even order. They just string you along. When I finally spoke to the actual manager of the store he was apologetic and said he's as frustrated and angry as I am but there is nothing he can do but refund my money. Phil the manager was the only honest person I spoke to. They company is a total f!ck around. Go to PLE computers.... I would give them negative stars if I could. I should have had my laptop months ago.

Worst service ever one could get. This young asian kid working on a Saturday has no manners 0 personality 0 experience in customer service 0 experience in how to speak with customers. The guy should not be working at a retail outlet should consider taking job at a Chinese takeaway joint cleaning dishes.

Terrible experience, the customer service was absolutely appalling. We were perfectly happy with the person serving us but another member of staff decided he wasn't doing a good job and took over the sale, was very rude, randomly left us to attend to other (unhappy) customers, cursed right in front of us, felt like he didn't think the rest of his staff were any good but it was him with the terrible people skills. There is no way I will ever go back to this store, there are plenty of other good computer stores to go to instead.

Checked the webpage for stock. Found only Osbourne Park and Cannington with item i needed. Rang Cannington to confirm that they had stock and accepted Zip... both confirmed as yes on phone. Drove for 50 minutes to get to the store to find out they had no stock of what i wanted the call taker never physically checked had to settle for an alternative product and then found out they didn’t accept zip pay. If you want good service and no messing about, go to PLE.

The measure of a store's value of their customers is in the after sales service. Anyone can be happy and treat you well when you're giving them money. The phone at Osborne Park is never answered (have called several times on different days), which is frustrating when trying to resolve a small fault that causes the system to be inoperable without having to perform an awakening ritual. And this is with new equipment. But it's not just the phones, several emails were sent (including one to the "management" email address on the website) which have to this day been completely ignored, with the initial email being lodged a month ago. If you're planning on buying something from here, keep your fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with it.
