Ordered online, everything arrived in Canada very quickly. The most work was the reinforcing of the deck where the posts would sit. Otherwise it went together relatively easily. For the size we built which was 26x12, which we broke into 3 joined sections (12x12, 3x12 & 11x12), it required 3 to 4 people due to the weight and limited space to maneuver. We think it looks fantastic! Additionally, we've ordered the corner shelves, which look great and are really functional. We also have added the curtain rod, this was too thick for the curtains we have, so ensure that you measure the rings!! The only issue we had, was the rod didn't come with any hardware, but that was a quick email, and 3 days later we had the screws and caps.

I had been wanting to do something special in the backyard for years. I recently had the patio redone and needed something special. For years I used the cloth type gazebos, only to have them fade and tear after a few years in the sun. I saw the Toja system at my local big box store and thought it would be a great fit for my renovated back yard.
With a little help from my neighbours I was able to set it up in no time and finished off the rest myself. One tip though, be sure that all your posts are perfectly straight as I learned the hard way. All good now! The Toja Pergola system is awesome!!

Love our Toja Grid System! Our goal was to create privacy and boy does this ever create good looking privacy! We used the posts to attached a horizontal privacy fence on 1.5 sides which helps with wind, noise and also heating up the space if you have a nice fire going. We haven’t used the sail yet as we installed late in the year and shade is not necessary at this time in Canada.
We did use 6x6 posts and brackets and had three men plus two ladies help install the posts on a deck that is 42” off the ground, which was a struggle. More help is definitely needed for the bigger 6x6 posts.
Can’t wait to enjoy our backyard next summer!
