Product shipped in good condition and was well packaged.
I built a 8 x 10 pergola with height of 8 ft. Purchased 6 4 x 4s eight ft long and two 10 ft long. Sanded each post and stained them black to match the hardware. Then, sprayed them with spar urathane.
It was easy to install. Just slide the 4 x 4s into the corners and footings securing with provided stainless screws. The plastic black caps was a nice touch preserving the black finish without showing the bright hardware.
I also bought 16 side rail mounts with two tabs to attach to the wood, but used them for installing rafters rather than using the single tab hardware designed for rafters.
Added led garden lights on a 48 ft string which allowed me to run along the upper perimeter and finish down the center of the 8 x 10 area.
Purchased a black rectangle 90% sun shade cloth for the top, a black 70% shade cloth for the south side, and dark grey outdoor curtains for the west side. South and East sides are not covered, but I installed curtain rods on each side for future use and flexibility in configuring the space.
Placed inside the pergola is a wicker sofa, coffee table, and two swivel chairs. Makes a very nice cozy space in which to relax.
Finally, I installed 20 small color changing solar lights in the spaces between the rafters and on the east side. 7 on the south, 7 on the north and 6 on the east... Back of the sofa is to the west, so, no color changing lights on that side.
I am impressed with the design and quality of the products and the ease it provides in building a quality pergola.
I enthusiastically recommend Toja Grid product and show off my project proudly to my friends.
