My use of Toja pergola kit is probably the most unusual. I built the carport with Solar roof using those parts. I had to use non-Toja mounts for rafters, other than that all other parts sourced from Toja. This is certainly not the least expensive solution, but the resulted construction is very strong and stable. Never regret I decided to go for that.

Super easy to put together! Beware of direction of holes in the bases. Directions are a bit lacking and would be nice if they would send a few extra screws and caps rather than the exact amount.

Everything came fast and in excellent shape. I built a 12 x 10 pergola using 4x4 cedar. The Toja connectors are really nice and fit with a bit if coaxing. It becomes heavy so 3 or 4 people are needed for a safe construction. We got white sails/shades for a really modern look. Needed to order an extra side shade to block all the sun. Works like a charm. Had my inlaws over for a lunch and our south facing backyard was well protected with the toja system.
Note: it is not waterproof but i wasn't expecting it to be
Also don't pull too hard on the clips or they will break.
Very happy so far and so are the neighbors.

The product is great, comes cut (we got the custom cut shade) to order, and works very well with the included hardware. Shipping was included (in Canada). Lets the rain drip through so there is no pooling, and gives you comfortable shade in the sun.

I purchase the kit to build a pergola over a year ago and love it. I then ordered the 2’ shade sails for the sides to help shade along with two tables for the posts and love them. Everything was easy to assemble and put up and with each add on it looks even better! Everyone who sees ours asks about it and loves it. My pergola went up fairly easy using standard sized 4x4 lumber. I built it on the ground then raised it onto my deck which was difficult for 2 men but we managed. I'd recommend a 3 or 4 people to make the lifting process easier. In the end it came together beautifully in about a half a day. I also added some roller shades for privacy and to keep the sun out when wanted and that was very easy to install due to the straight lines of the grid and was a perfect addition to my grid.
On a side note the customer service from Toja grid was fantastic with quick responses and good recommendations to my questions.
