Built an area, 8’x12’, which when complete, will be our BBQ area. Built on one end of the deck, and still have a wall to put at one end, and a plastic corrugated roof. Instead of having a 12’ span, l made two 6’ spans so that there is no chance of the 4x4 twisting or sagging over that length. The Toja Grid was awesome to work with. I built it pretty much alone, other than three times l needed my wife to help when three posts had to be inserted at the same time. Don’t be intimidated by trying this, if you don’t have several helpers. A hand here and there is all you will need. I used 3” galvanized 1/4” lags to attach it to the deck, and once the lumber was screwed to the brackets, it is rock solid. For my own piece of mind, as l tend to go overkill on things, l have a one foot section which l used a solo bracket coming from a quad, and lagged it to the house brickwork, to anchor the whole issue. Wasn’t necessary, but l did it anyway. This company was very helpful with everything from service, to delivery, and the product speaks for itself. Now looking for something else to build with it.
