We love our pergola, and we get lots of compliments. The only issue we have with the product, was the assembly.
The 4x4 lumber that we purchased did NOT fit into the Toja Grid braces. The braces were way to small, so we had to do some significant shaving on each end of the 4x4s. Also, the advertised "45 minute" installation is extremely misleading... it took the two of us roughly 4-6 hours, and most of this was due to the shaving/trimming of lumbar.
Other than that, this was a great product and we are currently enjoying our pergola!

There were no instructions sent with the pergola kit. It is fairly self explanatory, however instructions would have been helpful at times. Additionally the 4x4s were very difficult to seat fully into the kit. We had to shave off some corners and use ratchet straps to get them in.

Nice pergola but needed some extra bracing as it's in an open area subject to wind. Would be nice if there were a few extra hardware pieces in each kit (especially the black screw caps - there are a few of those under the deck now and not on screws!).

Very awesome company for diy pergola kits. Very easy to navigate website to purchase the item you require. I got the 12x10 4x4 wall mount pergola kit. It arrived in a timely manner in one big box. Inside the box everything was nicely organized and packed. There were enough hardware for the whole project. When installing the pergola it was much harder to do it as one person you will definitely require 2 to 3 person team to install it. It’s more because of the weight of the wood than the hardware. Wish Toja Grid dumbed down the install a little bit since after I bought the 4x4 it had expanded a bit so during install I had to pound the 4x4 into the mounts which caused the mounts to expand and at certain areas the welding failed (fixed with JB weld to reinforce). Make sure when you install its length is sized because once you install the mounts on the 4x4 it’s impossible to pull them out to adjust the length. The whole project was amazing once’s done; felt much more eco friendly than getting a traditional pergola with multiple complex materials. Definitely Recommend this company if you are in the market for a self install or want a simple installable eco friendly pergola.

The system was shipped quickly and looks fantastic. It was Fairly easy to install, with the only issue being the longer length 4x4s were difficult to fit into the upper brackets. This is due to the “squared off” edges of the 4x4s and the small welds on the inside of the brackets. This want an issue with the nominal 8k’ lengths, as the edges were more rounded off. I ended up sanding the corners down on the upper 4x4s to get a better fit.
We’ve had this for about a month now and we have enjoyed it tremendously. It’s a clean, simple design and works great with the back of our house and deck area.
