Editing my review: the office lady is single handily lowering my rating. A few areas needed touch up and it’s been a struggle to get Kim to schedule the repair. First the area is too wet. Ok no worries, weather happens. Then weeks go by and no response. I’m told I’ll get scheduled tomorrow. No response for three more weeks. No pressure consultation. Answered any questions. Team arrived early on install date and was completed in 4 hours. It looks good.

Had my garage floor done. Looks beautiful but was VERY surprised with how much dust was ALL over my garage when they were finished. I thought they would have a vacuum attached when doing all the sanding down of the floor but nope. Lots of clean up. Missed a few spots missed so they came out a week later to correct. Not happy with the hour late show up.

We are happy with the finished project but there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you can deal with multiple last minute cancellations and dealing with the scheduling lady who refused to allow us to speak to her supervisor “he is busy and not involved in scheduling “. One of the cancellations was as close as an hour before the crew was expected.

I would like to give 5 stars because I love how looks my garage floor, job was done well but I do not recommend this company for poor customer service and communication after job is done. All my garage walls were damaged they were covered with paint and multiple visible dents on the walls. I brought up before they start to work that my garage is fresh paint and I would like to cover my walls but I received the short answer "I am a professional and I know what I am doing". I trusted him but....I made a claim but nobody was taking responsibility to fix it. I ended to fixing my walls out of my pocket.

Review update 2024: After less than a year cracks started to appear, by the end of the 1st year all cracks appeared and flakes disappeared near edges. I had called and was told after first cracked appeared they came out and fixed it which looks like crap, then after that was told will not fix anything else! There is no warranty saying it is all settlement! Alot of people we know were interested in getting this done which we told them to go to another company! 1ST post: Should of had 2 people doing the patio! The person who was working was not happy. Very overwhelmed. But did a good job and looks great!

The product should not be used on driveways, especially for the elderly. It is so slippery in the winter that it is like an ice rink. The car slips all over the place and its a fall hazard. I'm not sure why this is being installed outdoors on a driveway.

I expected a wonderful experience after reading the reviews. It was anything but wonderful. The wrong color was on the contract. So glad I caught it in time. Kim, in customer service, is truly a gem. She helped to fix that issue. However, the sealer that they applied was not mixed properly. After 3 day, it still wasn't dry. Very sticky and tacky. When they came out to fix it, 5 days after, they dripped sealer on my concrete driveway that stained it. Additionally, the second coat of sealer was very uneven. I called last week and haven't heard a thing. I paid twice as much as other bids. I thought I was receiving a super service and product. I sent pictures of the driveway. Then, Chris, the manager, said he would get back to me about these issues. Haven't heard from him in over a week! My contents of my garage were outside for over 9 days. Gave up, and I put my garage back in order.

I do not recommend them because of the strict contract you must sign. They can and did try to reschedule my job with no compensation and could care less. I was pressed for time and explained this before I even signed the contract. Due to no fault of my own they tried to change the date and explained there is nothing I could do except forfeit my deposit and hire someone else. The price was no better then others once you start negotiating. The work done was good, but will never hire them again.

Unfortunately I didn't see this message on my phone until after my husband and I planned our saturday around this appointment. To be fair, no one showed up because they canceled the appointment on their end. Why did they cancel? After they kept on calling me repeatedly, even after I sent them to voicemail, I picked up my phone and hung up. I was at a work event - it appeared as if someone was trying to contact me because an emergency was happening. I never silence my phone because it's important my daughter's school can always contact me as she has a medical condition so this was extremely obnoxious. Yes, it is rude to hang up on somebody, but I only did it because they kept calling me over and over again.Which is also rude when not necessary.

We signed a contract with Encore Concrete Coatings for a single-color Stargazer flake coating with a lifetime warranty on May 22, 2023. When the install took place in SEP 2023, it was almost immediately defective. Additionally, Encore used 2 different colors instead of the contracted single color, & visible flaws appeared across the deck within days. Within months, the coating began chipping and failing, the very problem we had specifically raised and Encore had dismissed. Over the next 19 months (SEP 23–MAY 25), we contacted Encore at least 14 documented times to report issues, share photos, and request repairs. Encore’s own reps inspected the site & acknowledged the work was below their standards. Yet the company repeatedly delayed action, offered inadequate fixes, & shifted explanations—from initially admitting a surface-preparation failure to later, more than a year after our first complaint, blaming “moisture” & claiming a “moisture barrier” was needed. Moreover, on SEP 2, 2025 after being served in Iowa Small Claims Court, the Encore COO stated, “I have been doing this a long time & I can easily tell from these photos this is a prep issue, not moisture”. Until our Better Business Bureau filing, every contact & inspection had characterized the issue as a workmanship or prep failure, never a moisture problem. Assessment: this company uses the "moisture barrier" clause in their contract as a catch all to come and redo work at an additional charge to the customer. Over the course of 2 years, we made more than a dozen documented attempts to secure proper completion through direct outreach, the Better Business Bureau, & the Illinois Attorney General (Encore failed to respond after 2 inquiries), before finally filing in Iowa Small Claims Court. On OCT 9, 2025, Encore Concrete Coatings was found in civil court as negligent in installing the pool deck floor coating. Iowa case number is SCSC751203 and can be looked up on Iowa Courts Online. Also, please make sure to check the BBB reviews and not just blindly trust Google reviews. BBB reviews tell an entirely different story about this company.

We’ve had a very disappointing experience with our garage floor installation. The original job was poor quality, with noticeable roller marks left throughout. After submitting a trouble ticket, it took three months just to get someone out to take a look—and even then, the first attempt to fix it made things worse. There was no meaningful follow-up for weeks at a time, and I had to call repeatedly just to get any updates. Eventually, we were told we’d need to wait over two more months to have the floor completely redone. From start to finish, the process will take five months, with no sense of urgency or accountability from the company. On top of that, we now have to empty our garage for a second time, and despite all the delays and inconvenience, we were offered no goodwill credit, no real apology, and frankly, very little concern for the customer experience. For the cost and hassle, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Oversold and didn't complete the job like the contract stated. They were going to "wrap" the floor onto the vertical walls so you could rinse out the garage. Sales guy Homer, yah yah of course and we will fill the gap between the floor and the wall. Nope. Manager - we never said that. You did and it's in the contract. Should have gone with another. They weren't the lowest but i trusted them. don't do it.

This company does not honor their warranty. They did our front porch and side walkway in October. The sidewalks were so slippery from water, ice and snow (even after applying safe salt ,cat liter and sand) that they could not be walked on. The US Postal Service noted our walks as "dangerous" after 3 of them almost fell. We had ordered the no-slip grit and were told by the sales rep that they would be safe in winter. We called and were told they cannot come out until spring. They sent out their "top guy" who says the grit to prevent slipperiness was not applied. We had to pay $1200 for them to fix their mistake. We called and asked to speak with someone higher up then the receptionist and were told that is the production manager who doesn't take customer calls. She said she would give him our message that we don't think we should have to pay for their mistake. Never heard back. BUYER BEWARE IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE. YOU WILL PAY FOR IT! We had to give them one star because you cannot post if you want to have 0 stars.

We have a number of issues with the project (visibly uneven, bubbles and humps in the flooring, and a complete mess to contend with). We reached out to our contact who said he would let “service” know, and we have heard absolutely nothing in response. Huge price tag, mediocre quality at best.
