DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Tragically, my father passed away and was unable to move forward with the project. I called for a refund and the first person told me he NEVER put a deposit. Fast forward a month later, I was checking on something else and found a deposit was indeed PAID. I immediately called back and left over 10 messages for the manager and owner over a three week span and finally received ONLY one phone call. I asked for the total deposit refund and they REFUSED. The only money which was reimbursed was the additional deposit (beyond the 30% deposit to secure the job). Thought for sure they would have a heart and agree to pay a person who passed away the deposit back to the family. NOPE!!! Such a heartless company with NOOOOO customer service.

So it would have been a 5 star review , cause the actual work they where hired for is great I’m happy with the floor , but during the process they damaged my garage door tensioner cable ( I do have video of this ) causing me to have to spend $600 additional with a another company to Come out and to repair this at 10pm , before posting this review I’ve tried calling multiple times , and I’m getting the run around saying that the manager is out on the field , show that simply they don’t care . Funny thing is when I agreed to the floor they called and called to get the money for the deposit , but when it’s time to fix a issue they cause they all of a sudden are to busy , this also makes me question if ever have a warranty concern they they won’t be very responsive .

They did the horrible job with my basement and everything is fixed with the new floor. I have an issue with my sump pump and I cannot even open the lid to check. I also did the garage through this company and whenever it rains, one side of my garage is always flooded with water. It's just a nightmare!

This company is completely dishonest. They recently did my garage floor a few weeks ago I mentioned how it looked weird near the garage door. He said it was the reflection of the sun. I left my door cracked the way they had it from Wednesday night to saturday noghr. I closed the garage door at that time. When i looked at the floor sunday the area was only concrete. I let them know immediately. It has been weeks. NOW they say if i want it fixed i need to pay 250 for something that wasn’t done right the first time. There is another area of the garage that has nothing as well. I asked to speak to a manager. Ariana said she is it for customer service. The manager of the business and owner is Tony Scaletta but she said he doesn’t take customer calls. The irony is I even requested a quote for my driveway and two of my neighbors were interested until they screwed me and showed how horrible their company is.

A company not to trust. I strongly recommend looking at other companies. They want to sell you a product when they know it will fail. Then double the cost of your project.

Their warranty is a sham. I had my floor done in November of 2022 and for the most part, it was fine and looked nice. It wasn't perfect, but I wasn't expecting it to be so I was happy with it. It was a cold November and was close to freezing the day they came. They assured me it didn't matter, but in hindsight, I expect it does matter. Fast forward to mid-year of 2024, about 1.5 years after installation, I notice cracking and peeling in one area of the garage floor. Entire area was less than a single sq. foot. Okay, fine, they have a lifetime warranty, right? Kind of. I call them and talk to someone who explains I need to submit a warranty claim online. Okay fine, not sure why I can't just talk to someone but fine, I can understand a paper trail as much as the next guy being useful, so I go ahead and submit it that way. I'm contacted by a woman named Arianna via email who is fine for the most part. She acknowledges the issues and we scheduled them to come out. I did have questions about the repair looking different than the original application and she said it'd probably be different but they do the best they can. But they'd also happily charge me $3/sq ft for a "refresher" coating. Makes you question the actual longevity of the product if that's a service they offer with something that has a lifetime warranty. So at this point, they come out in September of 2024 for the repair, 22 months after the original work was done. From the time they pulled into my driveway and were gone, the repair lasted 48 minutes. It was a visually obvious repair, doesn't look great, but at least it's sealed, and we're done and good. Except, we're not. THREE months later, I get a text message saying they had an accounting system glitch and I should have been charged $250 in labor for the repair. This is a surprise on multiple levels. I exchanged emails with (2) people at Encore, Arianna and Andrew, and at no point did either of them tell me there would be a labor charge. At no point did they ask for my authorization to attempt to charge this. They just expect people to pay this exorbitant fee, without actually telling a customer about it, after the fact. Look, I get it, go look at the warranty page on their website and you're brought to an image you can't search text on. In fine print, they say labor is only covered within the 1st year. They are purposefully not telling the customer, knowing they are going to charge $250 for a job that took them 48 mins and was a few $ in material. Salesman never mentions this, they just tell you about the lifetime warranty and how good everything is. The warranty is an absolute sham. That $250 they try and charge you absolutely has the material baked into it. They have no actual warranty. Do your own research and find other reviews like mine here, on Yelp, on Google. All saying the same thing. If you are lucky and have no issues, the system works, but the warranty is a joke. Their owner will reply to this with the same mindless, anti-customer drivel. Just please notice the quantity of similar reviews all saying the same thing. Super shady business with a sham warranty. Edit: In response to the owner's reply. This is a static concrete flooring coating. A comparison to a completely different industry warranting a completely different product is completely ignoring the deceptive business practice they employ and is an example of nothing. A direct competitor of theirs warrants their floors for 10 years. It's not lifetime but includes labor. He will replying saying they match competitors warranties but that is false. His reply to me here also ignores at least 3 members of his staff across different verticals of the organization failed to mention the labor charge. At that point, it's a part of their culture and ingrained in their process. $250 for a 48 min service call on a failed application is highway robbery. Make it $100 and I'm not happy but I'm not motivated to write a review.

I had someone pass away in my family and needed to cancel my service. I understand I signed a contract but I figured any quality business out there would work something out concerning my money I put down. I was told “best of luck” over the phone and that was it. Even an offer to return a portion of that money this company didn’t even work for would have been nice. To anyone who works with them, make sure to get an installation date as soon as possible. That way if life happens, you don’t lose a bunch of your hard earned money.

I am revising my review of Encore Concrete Coating. The job they performed is sub par . I had them come out to do our kennel floors which were concrete. Due to being a business I had to closed down for a week which I had no problems with. The floors were done 6/10/22. We noticed cracking as early as 6/24/22. After many phone calls to get someone to come out to check them, they sent "Efrain" out who said it was an "easy fix" The coating was coming off completely in certain areas and there were cracks in other areas. Obviously the 2 workers who did the floor did a very poor job of coating them. I closed my kennel again (loss of revenue and cost of paying my employees incurred) on 8/26/22. Encore sent one person out to "fix" the floors which really needed another complete coating. To add insult to injury that worker used that hand grinder to remove the sealant in several places but only resealed some of them, worsening our problems. Needless to say other areas of the floors were chipping and the "coating" was wearing off. I finally got in touch with the "senior operation manager" who agreed to come out in January, the earliest I could close down again, to re do the floors. When I called in November, I spoke to "Jake" who had no idea of what I was talking about or who I was. The "senior operations manager" I spoke with was no longer with the business. The next thing I was told was that I voided the warranty because we let dog pee sit on the floors. We mop every time that a dog has an accident in the kennel room and we mop down the whole kennel every night. "Tony the president claims he was told we had pee stains. Our whole kitchen - where the dogs don't go had worn off coating just from us standing by the sink. Our back area had cracks by the door where the coating wore away. Tony did not come out or send anyone out to verify what we were telling him even though we sent out many pictures. Tony told me that the only thing he could do is to have them come back and redo the floors at our expense. I went ahead and hired another company to strip and redo out floors. I was not going to throw money out by having Encore come out when they did such a poor job to begin with. It was clear from the beginning that the "staining" and cracking was not because we didn't clean up - it was do to a poorly done coating job.

Do not recommend. We hired them to grind our cement and add a topcoat. They only used a small grinder and left a bunch of circular grooves in the cement. The grooves weren't noticeable to me until they put the topcoat on. They were only here half a day and had plenty of time to use a large grinder to smooth it out.

The finished product looks decent..see how long it holds up. The whole experience with this company is a joke..their clean up was terrible, took 2 days to finish, the sales guy was no help.To clean ur garage they use a leaf blower so concrete dust goes everywhere! Find another company! In light of new details I changed my rating…

I had a 2 car garage done on July 20 2022. September 20 2022 my service ticket to Encore to repair peeling was acknowledged. November 3 2022 Encore repaired the peeling at no additional cost. May 1 2023 Encore acknowledged my service ticket for more peeling issues. Same area. May 19 2023 Encore repairs the issue at no additional cost. September 21 2023 Encore acknowledged my service ticket for more peeling issues. This time they tell me the warranty covers materials but I have to $250 for labor and other price increases. The peeling issues were all in the same area. Way overpriced for the quality of work performed reflected by the issues reported. Now I have to find another company to finish the job. The point is that the quality of the initial work or repairs was not there. Again, for what I paid, I would not expect the constant peeling issues. The poor quality of work is evidenced by me opening 4 tickets for the same peeling issue in the same area. Thanks Encore.

I am so disappointed that this company would not return the payment made by my elderly mother. We explained they are elderly and unable to preceede with having the work done on their property. No work was done. They took her $1200 for doing nothing. Very unreasonable. REPLY TO YOUR REPLY. I believe my sister explained. My parents are very proud people and they would never show a stranger that the stress and regret of this project almost landed my mom in the hospital. Please have some compassion.

Total cluster. Nice young man came out, provided an estimate, I said I would do it if they can mix in (10%) of one other color. He makes a call, then says "sure, we can do that". Fast forward to the day of install. I get a text "hey, we're on our way". I'm like "cool, does my order include the additional color I requested" Response from Encore "no, we have premixed flake colors...in order to have any other colors, it would have to be special ordered". The salesman had told me "yes, we can do that". I'd even provided a deposit. Well, after a snarky conversation from the sales mgr, I ended up getting a refund. Why, because they wouldn't/couldn't match their competitions pricing. If you request anything, other than the standard "premix" be SURE to check your deposit receipt. That was the excuse I rec'd from the sales mgr. "Since your deposit receipt didn't say an additional color, we can't honor was your salesman told you" Caveat emptor!!

Encore Concrete Coating East Dundee, IL On October 3, 2022 Encore Concrete Coating ("Encore") installed concrete coating on my garage floor. I was pleased and proud of the results. In December, 2022 it snowed. After clearing the snow from the garage floor, I noticed that an area of the floor began to pop-up. I contacted Encore and was transfered to the Claims Department.  I spoke with a representative ("rep") in Claims who asked me to fill out a claims form online, take a picture of the area that is popping up, upload the picture and the completed form and send it back to Encore. It was dark outside, so I told the rep that I would use the bright lights on my car to highlight the area. The picture clearly shows the effected area because the surrounding areas are flat, and that area is raised. I received a return call from the claims department and the rep told me that he could see the raised area I was referring to. He asked me if the area looked like popcorn. I said it did and the rep told me he knew the cause and how to fix it. The only problem was the inclement weather. I agreed that the spring or summer of 2023 would be the best time to address my concerns. In July of 2023, I began to call the Claims Department, and I left several messages stating the reason for my calls with the receptionist. No one from management returned my calls. When I called back the phone would ring and no one answered. After multiple attempts to get a response, with no replies, I realized that my phone number had been blocked. On August 31, 2023 I received an email (not a call) from Encore stating that a tech had been  scheduled to come to my home. The email indicated that the scheduling department could not give me a time, but that the tech would call prior to arrival. When the tech arrived, we had a brief conversation regarding my concerns. His demeanor, along with his lack of interest in what I had to say, were clear when he said he saw nothing in the picture I submitted to the Claims Department. His tone and his negative demeanor were sufficient reasons for me to end the conversation - and I did. It is evident that the tech's ultimate goal was to dismiss my claim as unfounded. This company has a Lifetime Warranty. My problem developed within a month and they don't want to admit that the problem exists. In the beginning when I invested over $2,000 with Encore, I was treated with respect. The minute I complained, I was no longer a Priority. My status with Encore had changed. I became a Second-Class Citizen, and I have been treated accordingly. The way a company treats you after a sale, should be just as important as the way you are treated before the sale. My experience doing business with Encore Concrete Coating has been a nightmare! I do not recommend investing in Encore Concrete Coating.

For real find another company ! This is a franchise company with obviously unskilled installers. Worse company I have ever had do work at my home. Obviously !!! No …the follow up response from this company is not accurate. Not even close to a good job! There are better concrete coating companies right in the same area believe me I wish I had worked with another.

We received an email stating the installation date 8/14/23. It was raining and we called them to find out if they were coming. We moved everything outside the day before. So it is sitting in the rain. My husband called them and they said they sent an email in June saying the date changed. Which we did not receive. They are coming in a week while our belongings sit outside in the rain. Very very poor service. We wish we would have gone with TSR.
