Wow, I don't know what words to say to express my experience working with Matkowsky Immigration Law. I wish I could give you guys more stars because you are the best Immigration law firm.
I will not forget the feeling I had after consulting with Sam Zimmerman on July 27, 2022. At the time, I was so confused and living in fear because I thought my life was over. But Sam spoke to me so calmly and God used him to show me there was light at the end of the my dark tunnel.
My case was complex because I had been refused PR in May 28, 2021 on the grounds that my Canadian work experience was classified as being self employed. By July 25, 2022 my BOWP had expired on February 3, 2022. My attempt to remain in status by applying for an open work permit and later study permit were all refused.
When I spoke with Sam Zimmerman, IRCC had just refused my study permit and asked me to leave the country. I was so devastated. But Sam calmly explained my options to me. He even taught me how to interpret and check up sections in the IRPA/R to understand certain things with immigration.
To cut the long story, he worked with me and handed my visitors restoration record to Matthew Aki, and my status was restored in a month and few days.
Then came the PR part, Sam just asked me to bring back my Canadian work experience in my Express Entry profile and he took over the case and prepared such a great case.
My PR application was submitted on October 13, 2022 and I was approved on January 19, , 2023.
It wasn't an easy journey but I am grateful for the outstanding work put in by Matthew Aki in the visitor's restoration application and by Sam Zimmerman in the PR application.
All I know is that Matkowsky law firm is the best. I even referred them to my friend and they helped secure a 1 year visitor's visa extension for her mun as she is a nurse practioner who needs childcare with her kids. I have also referred 2 other persons to them and will continue to do so.
Thank you so much Matthew Aki, thank you soooooo muuuuuuccccch Sam Zimmerman. , you're a real professional who knows how to handle your clients. You know how to calm their nerves let them know what options are available for them, then suggest the best one. I don't even know how to explain who you're as a person. But I perceive in my spirit that you're a good person with a good heart, an angel who God used to bless me. May you continue to excel in all of your life pursuits, you will always be a star and your light shall continue to shine so bright.

My Permanent Resident (PR) application was at a great risk of getting rejected because I was deemed inadmissible due to an error committed. Katherine is amazing, exceptionally professional, super organized and very quick at responding to emails. She assisted me to prepare a long response letter to IRCC citing why I should get another chance to reside in Canada with my husband. 3 months to get notes after JR started, settlement received a few days after application of records filed. It took approx 1mo to get the case reopened, and 3 days to get it approved after SP updates submitted.
