MY STUDY PERMIT WAS APPROVED! I could not be more happy with the team that worked on my file. They truly did an impossible job. I was refused a study permit beforehand when working with another law firm. Shifting to Matkowsky Law was the best decision made, considering it was approved! My circumstance is quite tough since I carry a Syrian Arab Republic passport. As most people know Syrians tend to get refused the most considering the country’s current state. Regardless, this firm worked through that obstacle and acquired the study permit. Amanat Sandhu was the lawyer who mainly took part in my file. She truly sympathized my situation and acknowledged the effort and investments made on my part for this application. She gave a hundred percent and more to provide the strongest case possible. My experience with Matkowsky was great and right from the get go felt a sense of confidence that my case will be dealt with professionally. I would high recommend this firm! I am a Permanent Resident now and all thanks to Sonia and Natalie Sahibi! We had our few hiccups initially but all is well that ends well. We highly recommend Matkowsky Immigration Law. I have applied for spousal sponsorship June 2018. A year later we received an email saying I am not eligible due to proxy marriage. We remarried in the USA, and they accepted it. Then our application become complex, and we realized that we need to hire a lawyer. We did our research, and we found Matkowsky firm. They have good reviews. We hired them and they advised us to do the mandamus. We did it and honestly, they did great job. After not hearing anything from CIC for more than a year, we started hearing almost nonstop. Leave was granted and we were scheduled for the court day. I had two interviews and asked for documents all the time. The lawyer advised me not to go to the court since we got what we wanted, and it will cost me money that I could avoid. I like their honesty in this matter. They have been really helpful and have done great job. They exactly know what to do. I strongly recommend them to anyone especially if you are planning to do the mandamus.

First let me congratulate Matkowsky immigration for commanding noticeable internet presence, that is where I found them. Based on a brief chat and interview, I was assured that my case can be handled. I wasn’t even sure where to begin. First my spousal application has been refused, secondly, I had fallen into the wrong side of the law and became inadmissible, out of status and placed on removal order. I mean it couldn’t be any more complicated than that.
Following advisory from my previous immigration lawyer, there is nothing more I could do to remedy the situation. Consequently, given the complexity of my situation I didn’t believe that there may be a contrary view out there. So, I was frustrated for a very long time.
With the backing of a team of lawyers including Natalie Domazet, Kriti Gupta and Amanat Sandhu, they worked round the clock to refile my Spousal H&C application, write Deferral Request and Stay Motion. And we just received a positive decision with regards to the stay motion. I am satisfied and very happy with their strong representation. They are very highly recommended.

Our case was a bit complicated as our families had applied for immigration before and were rejected. Therefore, we were scared to apply once again. We got into the express entry pool in 2020 and received our ITA in July. We did not want to take any chances this time. That is why we were looking for an immigration law firm that could help us build our case. We did some research online and came across the Matkowsky Immigration Law firm. My husband spoke with Sonia to discuss our case, and she confirmed that they would prepare and submit our express entry application. We were a bit worried to make the payment first as we have heard about people being scammed or getting poor services once payment has been done, but we took a leap of faith and made the payment. Our case was transferred to Sam Zimmerman, and he gave us a list of documents that we needed to submit to build our case. Our case took a long time to resolve as it was during the pandemic. However, he was there with us the whole time, from August 2020 till May 2022. He arranged all of our documents meticulously, read through all the papers that we submitted. He answered each and every question patiently and within very short time no matter how silly, personal or insignificant it had been. He informed us about needing ARC for my husband, prepared the documents and also submitted a letter that explained our situation clearly. He mentioned and explained each and every point that could have rejected our application in a letter of application to the IRCC. Also, we got an email from IRCC in the middle of the process saying that we did not submit our medical records, even though we did. He also dealt with that situation and applied for GCMS notes when we were not getting any updates from IRCC. We finally received our PPR this month and we are extremely grateful to Sam for his immense effort, guidance and strong mental support throughout the whole process.
The first office we will be visiting after landing in Canada will definitely be Matkowsky Immigration Law, Sam and Sonia would be the first people we would love to meet before starting our lives and all the official formalities in Canada. Thank you so much Sam!
