I have taken my car to the service department on a couple of different occasions. My car seemed to be burning a little excessive oil being a mechanic myself, I thought I should get it checked. My car has no leaks or does not smoke so when I contacted the service department, they were quite rude with me treated me like I did not know what I was talking about this individual was Grant. I asked for a manager which was Jim Kern and he had me take the car in to be looked at. after reviewing the car he said we did a free Oil change for you, and would like to keep an eye on it can you bring it back after 1000 miles, after the 1000 I returned and he said to come back after another 1000 miles. another 1000 miles go by but now my dash lights are on ABS, low tire warning, electronic Stability control indicator light, all-wheel drive warning light, I return at the 1000 mile checkup ask if they can look in to the other problems it was showing, they said they would look at it, I received a call saying that some wires at been chewed up by a rodent and that would be the issue. I asked where the wires were eaten up at, he stated on the front driver side. I picked up my car and brought it home, Like I stated I’m also a Mechanic I have over 30 years of experience of working on cars though this is not a full-time profession for me. I looked on the front driver side where he stated the damage was I removed the driver side tire and followed the wiring from the caliper in to the engine compartment in which I only found one small areas next to the front inside of the driver side fender going to a data port they had some of the wire plastic chewed away but not chewed threw to break the contact he was stating. so I called back to the service department asking if they could tell me where this damage was, I would like to see it before I have a repair done on it, at this point Grant was very rude to me about it and said I’m not going to tell you where it is so you can fix it and my mechanics are busying making money. At this point I asked for a manager in which Jim Kern got on the phone and stated the damage is in the wiring harness if you know where that is we taped it up this really got me mad talking down to me like I had no knowledge. I could not believe the manager would act in this manner I asked him where in the wiring harness, I followed it from the wheel caliper to the motor compartment I should see some new tape then correct? and he could not say where. I stated that he was not very personal and was quite rude. He said we have the best customer service around, so say what you want, at this point I end the call and said thank you have a good day. I would not go back there or purchase another car from them just because of their customer service and the way they act like no one is knowledgeable about cars but them.
