We had a fantastic experience coming up with a design and choosing specific vintage and recycled stones within our budget for an engagement ring from FTJ Co. and we absolutely love the end product! We worked closely with staff over email, Zoom and in person, the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful throughout the process. We got regular updates when the ring was in production and it arrived to us in Alberta as promised, on-time and stunning!

From the beginning to end the process was seamless! The whole staff was great when I went in for the first appointment I was never pressured like other jewellers I had visited. They were helpful and super quick to respond via email and phone. I worked with 3 different members of the team (annoying to most people) but the system they have in place makes it so easy and effortless and I never have to repeat Information over and over. The best part? The ring turned out great and I could not be happier. Highly recommend ftjco for all your jewellery.

Getting custom made rings during a pandemic was not the hassle I thought it would be, even from Ottawa. I'm not an off the rack kind of person and it was so easy to sort out the most perfect ring for me. None of you dare copy it!! Have these magicians create something for you, that feels like you!

I am having difficulty writing this review because I am continuously distracted by this most beautiful, delicate and timeless engagement ring from Fair Trade Jewellery Co.
Robin and the entire team at FTJ were so wonderful to work with. They were courteous, informative and a real pleasure to deal with.
My now fiance, took me ring shopping in October and the staff made the experience wonderful and safe in the middle of this Pandemic.
The website is a great resource and my fiance has said that emailing with Robin was easy and convenient.
As for me, the ring is above and beyond what I could ever have hoped for. not only is it ethically sourced and mined, it is also a Canadian Diamond. It really is a work of art.

Discovered this Jewel (pun intended) while reading an article in the globe and mail. I needed a special ring for my wife of 34 years and reached ftjco.com via their website. Robin reached back to me the next day and we discussed what I was looking for. As I’m from Ottawa I thought the distance thing would be a problem, but the website provides updates on the production of the ring, all costs are upfront and no surprises! delivered on time even in covid! In the end Robin and his team produced an amazing ring at a reasonable cost that will be a legacy piece in my family for years to come. I highly recommend Fair Trade Jewelry Company!

This is now my third custom piece from FTJ. I live in the US, and so I have to send my pieces to be reimagined up to them—it is worth the expense and then some! I am a lover and collector of antique and vintage jewelry and am always coming across designs that I love, but as many of those pieces are one-of-a-kind it's often hard to find something like them again. Robin and his team have taken pieces I have sent them (vintage bands) and reimagined them based on designs of antique rings I submit to them. And they are simply beautiful. The team is so responsive and so committed to getting it right. They are helpful with suggestions about how to do something well, and their prices are very fair given the quality of their work. I recommend them time and again!

Couldn’t be happier with my experience working with FTJCO. I started with a photo of what I wanted and worked with Robin to make it work within my budget. I opted for their loaner ring” for the proposal so that I could involve my fiancée in the design of her forever engagement ring. We were able to meet with staff in-person, following safe COVID-19 protocols, for sizing and styles. Really appreciate their commitment to lab grown diamonds & fair trade gold! The ring is stunning. Looking forward to coming back for wedding bands.

The ring design was stunning, they completed the rings on time, they were timely and responsive to questions, and their pricing was competitive. They did not require all of the diamonds to complete the final ring so they actually refunded us. It is clear that they value the client experience as being as important as the beautiful jewelry that they create.

I ordered a beautiful custom engagement ring with FTJ Co. after a consultation with my fiancee and their very knowledgeable staff. I appreciate that their employees did not pressure me into making decisions to exceed my budget and that they were able to answer and respond to every question and concern I had about their design-development process and procurement of material and gemstones.
I was very impressed with their attention to detail in designing and creating the ring. Their customer service was excellent throughout the process of consultation, design, and picking up the finished product.

After visiting several high-end brands and experiencing how behind some organizations are on how to treat two people who are so excited to become married one day and also happen to be two males, we were referred to FTJco, we reluctantly made an appointment. From the moment we walked into the store, we were greated by a very bright young student jeweler with a big smile and when she found out that we were shopping for our wedding rings, she made sure to treat us equally and with Genuine Care. Of course, the end product was what we had imagined and absolutely beautiful. I absolutely love FTJ Co. My husband and I had our wedding rings made there and we loved them. We made a special trip to Toronto (we are from Buffalo, NY) to go to this jeweler. They were lovely to work with and our rings are gorgeous.
Now, three years later, I have developed a gold allergy. My wedding ring gives me a serious rash. I contacted Diana at FTJ and she helped me enormously. They will make me a new platinum ring just charging me the difference in cost. They will also recycle the gold from my first ring.

I purchased my wedding band from Fair Trade Jewellery Co. and I couldn’t be happier! I searched far and wide for the perfect hand engraved band and found it in their beautiful hand engraved vine pattern band. It works perfectly by itself or alongside my engagement ring.
I ordered online since I’m not in the Toronto area and my order was completed exactly on schedule. I really enjoyed checking the status of my order on their website, it kept my mind at ease and gave me one less thing to worry about!

This place is a real gem. As far as I know, this is the only place that could check the boxes:
-ethically sourced gold
-lab grown sapphires and diamonds
-Canadian artists and goldsmiths
-unique and customizable styles
-reasonably priced
-no-pressure, knowledgeable, fast-communicating, overall super helpful staff
And, I mean, _super_ helpful. Their staff:
-laid out individual diamonds just so that I could validate my budget and understand better what is important to me in that sparkly aesthetic
-provided a tour of their production floors! 3D printers, smelters, laser engraver, the works
-responded to emails super fast, complete with quotes, photos of gems, and comparable rings
I live in Kitchener-Waterloo and only went to the store twice - once to confirm that they are who their site says they are; and again to pick up the ring my fiance loved. It's a long way to go for a ring, but the process working with their staff was a pleasure, and the quality of the ring speaks for itself. FTJCo, is a real diamond in the rough.

They patiently responded to our (endless) questions and made sure we were completely happy with our rings. Fast forward to this year--my sapphire chipped and I immediately contacted FTJCo. Kristin Inglese and other staff members were so helpful and patient in organizing swift repairs within our budget. The resulting ring is even more beautiful.
