Goddard Veterinary Group Putney-Putney

DO NOT GO TO GODDARD VET ON LOWER RICHMOND ROAD. My partner and I were scheduled to take our cat for an appointment at Goddard today at 9:15am. It was our first appointment with them and we will never ever go back again. We live by Wandsworth Park so tried to call an Uber there at 8:50am. The wait for a car was long and we were cancelled by 2 drivers because of our cat in the carrier. So we decided at 9am to walk - with our cat in his carrier - across Putney to Goddard. We were going to arrive 5 minutes past our appointment time so I tried calling Goddard FIVE TIMES to let them know with no answer. We walked as fast as we could to get there and by a miracle arrived at 9:19am. We had to wait outside for 2 minutes before the person in front of us was let in and the receptionist finished talking to another customer. I went to check my cat in and was very rudely told our appointment was cancelled because we were over 5 minutes late. I told her that we were not over 5 minutes late, as we were waiting to be let in at 9:19am. She had no answer for this. It was her who did not let us in… we were waiting at 9:19. A minute before the 5 minute “grace” period. I also explained our situation with the Uber/Walk and she rudely told me that’s our problem and our priority should be to get our cat there on time. We had tried - and I tried to call which I told her many times with no answer. She said if she had answered she would have told me they’d cancel our appointment, to which we said fine. At least our cat wouldn’t have been stressed by the 20 minute walk. She again said that’s not her problem and continued to be extremely rude and disrespectful. She had taken the phone off the hook which I could see so there was no way for me to even get in touch with her. I’ve never been spoken to this rudely. I’ve never in my life experienced worse customer service. Frankly I don’t trust a place that treats people like this with my pet.
