Bought Oztrail shade dome deluxe. During trial use segment of long arch came loose, wire connector came apart. Jeez, I just wanted to see how this dome comes together, before I go camping for 2 weeks with it. The frame feels flimsy, I wonder how many more segments will fall off during 2 weeks camping, when I'll be staying at 3 different locations...
Called the store ( on Saturday 8 Feb) and was told by a male staff "Bring it in and we'll assess the damage and find a solution". What he hasn't told me is that they would ask me to leave the shade dome at the store and wait for it to be repaired.
I drove 1h 20 min one way, only to be told that nothing is going to be done right now, I just have to leave the shade dome and wait unknown number of days for issue to be dealt with. Well, I'm going camping on Friday 14 Feb and need that shade dome. I have told young lady at the counter that I'm going camping on Friday and asked if replacement part cloud be given to me now, to save me driving back home and coming back again another time. Remember, it's 1h 20 min drive one way. 2h 40 min drive for return trip. Nope, they could not do that. Alright. On Monday 10 Feb I rang the store again to find out how things are going, and to ask if I could get shade dome back on Thursday night. Male staff who answered the phone sounded irate and dismissive. No definite answer was given, apart from that he'd get back to me later. I made sure he has my name and phone number. I feel disappointed when I receive this kind of customer service. It's like they couldn't care less.
