I can’t say enough good things about Holli. We knew we were in great hands on day one. Holli is knowledgeable about dog behavior but she also tailors her approach to our individual needs with each dog making the dog training feel personal and very effective.
We made great progress in just a few sessions. Whether it’s basic obedience, more controlled walks or more complex obedience issues, Holli addresses with a calm and consistent approach. Holli is our dog training superstar!

We sought out the help of the SamIvy team to assist in addressing some aggressive behavior from one dog to another after my girlfriend and I moved in together. One dog became territorial over space, people, and food in the house and would exhibit unpredictable aggressive behavior towards the second dog multiple times per week which caused distress for everyone in the home. Our trainer Ryann was fantastic and was able to rapidly help us address the problem by identifying preemptive signs of aggressive behaviors and teaching us how to manage and correct them at the source. We were skeptical about the zoom training at first but it was extremely effective as all of the learning is done directly through the dog owner in the natural environment of the home rather than through third person or location, so all of the learning and obedience comes straight from the owner in the dogs eyes. We have not had an aggressive incident since we started correcting the behaviors with the help of Ryann and everyone in the home is much happier now. Thank you Ryann!!!

I was really skeptical at first about the online format for training and I also was worried about the cost. The cost is very similar to an in person training experience. I had it in my head that doing the training over zoom would be less effective and not worth the money. After going through the program, I actually think doing dog training over zoom is ideal. I was able to gain knowledge and tools with expert help and guidance from Nate, our trainer. While doing this on zoom our dog could not smell or sense Nate at all. All of the corrections and training were coming directly from me, which helped to establish me as the pack leader. We did have an in person trainer in the past, which was okay, but our dog was only “good” for the trainer. Our dog learned how to behave around that trainer but it never translated to good behavior for me.
I’m glad we decided to give this training a try. We are very pleased with the results. We went from being scared that we would have to give our dog up for adoption due to aggressive behaviors, to now feeling in control. Money well spent.
