This is our first experience dealing with SamIvy. Initially I was skeptical upon hearing the training would take place via zoom and recorded sessions. Our hesitancy quickly vanished after the consultation with SKY, as we truly felt he listened to our concerns, needs and fears. We have a new German Shepherd Pup, and have owned GP’s in the past—- we wanted to start out the right way!! Also fortunate, Holli is our trainer. She is actually training my husband and I and Yeti is benefiting! It has been such a positive experience because Steve and I feel we are meeting with success. Holli addresses all our questions, she is always available to text and consistently checks in with our progress. Even though Yeti is 15 weeks, we are thrilled with our success and strive to be the Best Dog Owners Ever!! Holli has given us that confidence. We have signed up to continue with an Obedience session—- it is worth the monetary investment. I’m thinking about asking Holli to help us with the three unruly Daschunds also in our home. My husband thinks they are beyond help!

Team Sam Ivy, Hollie, specifically is amazing! After extensive research of dog training, after a frustrating stretch of time with our Frenchie, I accidentally came across Team Sam Ivy. The initial, presumably with a sales person, as quite impressive, particularly as compared to all of the hands on trainers I had talked to. Their philosophy around trading the owner to train the dog really resonated with me. We were struggling with an Frenchie was was unpredictably snapping at people and really not following any commands but sit. After just 2 sessions we were noticing significant changes in our dog’s behavior. She was recognizing that she was no longer “in control” and quickly adapted to the new routine. Now, having finished 6 sessions with Hollie, I am confident in executing on what we learned, Lucy is calmer and much more predictable. She is listening and obeying commands, surprising me every day! I’m so proud of how far we’ve come and I have the tools to continue our training, enforcing what we’ve learned. Hollie has been awesome-she relatable, sincere and truly committed to helping. Throughout our training she’s always been available for advise, she asks inquisitive questions to really understand the circumstances and has made me feel like a confident leader. I would highly recommend using Team Sam Ivy-you won’t regret it!!

I used to be afraid of my 7 month old Rottweiler, Max. Max was set to be euthanised at only 1 week old at a local shelter. I took him in, bottle feeding him for the next few months. As he physically grew, so did his "not so good" attitude. Prior to contacting Sam Ivy, Max had snapped at me three times. I was starting to question whether we had made the right decision in adopting him. However, we were not going to give up on him. Gina, our trainer, was instrumental in transforming our relationship with Max. She was realistic, straight forward and direct with what needed to take place-Max had to understand that we were the pack leaders. Period. The first few weeks were quite difficult. Max would behave but once he reached the end of his patience, he would growl and act out. Gina reminded us that things would get 'ugly' before getting better. She emphasised consistency with the obedience training and not allowing Max to "win" the battles. Gina witnessed Max' defiance yet with her supervision and guidance, we continued to persevere. Gina made us understand that we had to remain consistent with our training and that "No" meant "No." The training was a mental transformation for Max and us. Gina never made light of the training process. Being first time guardians to a Rottweiler who was deprived of the discipline and nurture from his mother, was more than a handful. Gina not only provided training instructions she provided insight to Max' behaviour. It has been a few weeks since our final session. I am no longer afraid of Max. It's hard to explain how our relationship has improved. It's night and day. Max has changed-more eager to please his human guardians, confident with walking amongst lots of people and dogs and he enjoys "Spot." He still continues to "test" us but he is quick to comply with commands. We continue our training daily with the tools Gina taught us. We know that Max has the potential to be his very best even if it means obedience training for him forever. Thank you, Gina.

We were looking for a way to help our Rottweiler Thor, manage his dog-related aggression. That’s when we found Sam Ivy. At first, we were a bit hesitant about online training because I wasn’t entirely sure I could handle correcting his behavior. But knowing I could always go back to the recorded sessions gave me peace of mind. Plus, I was a little worried about finding a trainer who truly understood how Rottie training is different from training other breeds, especially since they can be a bit stubborn. But we were lucky enough to be paired with Hollie, and she’s been an absolute lifesaver! She gently corrected me when I was doing something wrong, which helped Thor understand that I’m the leader, not him or the trainer. Now, I feel so much better about our walks, knowing I can keep him in check around other dogs. He’s also starting to get the hang of how to behave on walks. We’re planning to keep training going, and we’re hoping to start Tier 2 once we’ve had a few months of Tier 1 under our belt. Thanks again for your help, Hollie!
