When we first found Sam Ivy’s programs, we were concerned about the possibility of having to rehome our 6-7 month old puppy, Bailey. She began to show signs of aggression against our 8 year old pomeranian and it started to get scary for us as she continued to grow, not to mention because she was a stray found in the wild. In the household we also were having issues with our pomeranian constantly barking and antagonizing the other dogs. Our trainer, Holli, was very encouraging and helpful in our sessions and reassured us during our dogs’ more stubborn moments that it would get better. Bailey is now 8 months old and behaves better than any other dog I’ve met! She picked up on the commands and what was expected of her quickly and has formed an amazing bond with my boyfriend and I from the consistency of the training. She learned quickly that she was not in control of the home and would face consequences for hurting any of the other pups. Our pomeranian, Gribble, now is eager to play and open to receiving pets from others besides my mom because of the tools we were given to help with his anxiety. He also no longer barks all day because he feels comfortable in the home now. The training has helped build up my relationship with him as well, and he has grown a lot more comfortable with me because of the patience I had to have with him. I would completely recommend Sam Ivy to anyone having issues with their dogs because even if the situation feels like a crazy uphill battle, you just have to stick to it and stay consistent.

I was a little apprehensive about a "virtual" trainer - but after the first session with the fabulous Gina, I was a believerI I recently became a dog Dad to Storm - The Great Dane. At at only 3 months old I knew Storm was going to be a handful. Especially when she reaches full weight/height. She is stubborn as the day is long combined with all the puppy attributes (potty training, chewing, whining, etc). From consultation through training I felt like the Sam Ivy team listened to how I wanted my dog to be trained - not how they wanted my dog to be trained. For example, I like my dogs on the couch with me watching TV. What Sam Ivy showed me was that it was fine because that fits in my lifestyle - but they showed me how to "invite Storm on my terms" rather than a free for all of just jumping up on the couch when she wanted. Just one of many examples. All dogs should not be expected to be trained to the same rules because we all have different lives/surrounding/triggers, etc...But they should all have the principles of basic obedience standards. Because of Gina at Sam Ivy, my friends noticed a difference as Storm became more obedient, well behaved and properly socialized. It's a work in progress as she gets older but I am more confident in being able to handle her now if she picks up any bad habits. They gave me the tools and techniques to use. If I don't follow through and practice, it's my own fault - not the trainer and not the dogs. Thank you Gina - you're the best! Give her a raise Sam!

I am glad I went with Sam ivy. I was skeptical on doing a virtual training but it turned out to be great. My dogs had aggressive behavior towards other animals, they have improved so much. I also learned most of what I was doing prior to the program was incorrect and it fueled their pack mentality. Not only did my dogs change but so did I! My trainer Thuylinh was awesome. She was flexible with my schedule, ALWAYS available, and took the time to not only train my dogs but also get to know them. If others are looking into this program I would recommend do it but also keep in mind it takes a lot of work from a pet owner as well. When I let the structure at home got relaxed my dogs would test their boundaries. Overall great experience and a huge thank you to my trainer Thulyinh!

We looked at several training programs for our Golden Retriever puppy and decided to go with Sam Ivy. We could not be happier with the progress and results!!! We learned so much about training in the process. Our golden isn't even 1 yet and not only has she stopped chewing things, jumping on people, and pulling on walks but she also follow commands off leash. She is a completely different dog. We get so many compliments on her behavior in public! Haley was INCREDIBLE. She answered all our questions each session, was available outside of sessions if we ever needed her, and had so much patience with our puppy. We cannot recommend this program enough!
