I have had Sasha since I she was 6 weeks old. She is the sweetest and cuddliest girl and has been since I got her but around age 2 she started developing anxiety and aggression issues towards other dogs that made it hard to find boarding, take her for walks, and even just for me to leave her at the house. I worked with a training company that required A LOT of work and attention to detail that I just simply could not keep up with, and honestly was focusing on the wrong things in my opinion. I was looking into a training "boarding" program but had seen conflicted reviews about the dogs relapsed behavior once getting back with the owner, and it was double the price of SamIvy. Finding SamIvy really saved me and Sasha's relationship. Her anxiety was getting to the point where I felt there was no other option than to rehome her. She couldn't be left alone in the apartment with trying to claw through my front door. She couldn't be left in the crate without causing damage to the walls and the floor trying to escape, not to mention the harm she caused herself in her elaborate escape routes. SamIvy, Nate, to be exact, helped me reestablish a proper relationship with Sasha that has not only allowed me some peace of mind, but has honestly allowed us to bond and connect, despite the strict demands that come into play with the program. I always felt that being strict was "mean" and didn't want to go that route but it was the downfall of our relationship and how to got to be where she was at. I didn't know how to give her the proper tools to be a "good dog." Nate helped me through a difficult time understanding the role of being a dog mommy and the responsibility this entails. I am so grateful that I found SamIvy and hope to continue to learn more as we continue working through the "triangle" over the next several months and years. Sasha used to be awful to walk, I had to be very selective with anyone willing to help because of her aggression and strength but she is as calm as a cucumber now and enjoyable to take for walks, as she very attentively follows my lead. I look forward to continuing to see my girl flourish as we continue to put in the work! I highly recommend this program for anyone struggling like I was!
