Just finished the puppy training course. I am so happy that I signed my dog up for this training course. They helped me with crate training, leash walking and puppy biting/nipping. I couldn’t be any happier with my trainer Holli she was amazing!

Sam Ivy K9 Consultants is truly a special program. My wife and I decided to adopt a new pitty puppy and realized now more than ever would be a great time to refine our older dog's training and start fresh with our newest addition. Sam Ivy's team, really knows how to make the clients feel comfortable. Our trainer, Holli is absolutely fantastic! Our puppy has been making incredible strides in just the 6 weeks we’ve been in this course. She started the program not having focus on the leash when she walked, to not even walking with the prong collar. With Holli’s help we tried different methods and in just 3 weeks Bella went from having the prong collar flipped prongs out to the prongs in and is heeling like a champ! Bella now keeps eye contact and focus and really is making amazing progress. The biggest concern for my wife and I was the virtual aspect, but once again they are so willing to work with us and do what’s best for us and the dogs at the end of the day. I think our biggest praise to our trainer Holli is that she gave us confidence in what we are doing with our dogs. There were times before the program that we would get frustrated that there was no light at the end of the tunnel with our dog's training. But Holli has really turned that around and let us know that things can get better. We both feel extremely confident and comfortable to take our dogs out of the house without having to worry how they will behave. There is so much more I could add but overall I would recommend this program to anyone that even thinks about dog training, especially those who have pitties!

Wanted to share our story to hopefully help someone like us make the right decision in selecting Sam Ivy for training! Those that went through the program before us and left reviews definitely helped us make the decision for a consult and once we met our trainer Holli, we knew we were in the right place! If you don’t have time to read further… just know 100/10 would recommend, ESPECIALLY if you have pitties like us. Holli K. is AMAZING, we are so thankful for her support to help us achieve the goals we’ve set for our 2 pitties. Almost 4 years ago now, we adopted Bleu our blue nose, who was the most chill bundle of joy puppy I had ever seen. Initially my husband and I enrolled him into some basic puppy classes, took him to the dog park often and on errands with us for exposure and training opportunities. Bleu adapted well in the first year and a half but when Covid hit we had to cut back on several of those exposure opportunities. We did more walks around the neighborhood instead. Which ended up creating bad experiences for Bleu. We always kept him on leash during these walks but there were several instances where off leash dogs would run up and attack or attempt to corner Bleu while on these walks. After 4 attacks in a short period of time, Bleu became very anxious to go anywhere or be around other dogs while on his walk. Pitties already attract a lot of negative stares (even though they are the absolute sweetest dogs). Bleu’s anxiety drew even more attention while on walks. It took time to address the anxious aggression created from such events but we still weren’t where we wanted to be when it came to our on leash walks. We wanted to find a trainer that could help Bleu focus on walks and refine his current skills so that we could work towards off leash training and eventually service dog training. As we go through this program with our trainer Holli, my husband and I gain more and more confidence and peace of mind with each lesson. We wanted our dogs and ourselves to feel comfortable on their walks, be able to focus when distraction is present and enjoy the different adventures we hope to take as a family. I was soooo skeptical about the virtual aspect of this program and wasn’t sure if it would have any positive impact. I can honestly say that it does have a positive impact that creates results. The proof is in the pudding, and because of this program so far, Bleu is able to interact with his new puppy sister Bella (our black and white pittie) without any anxious aggression, we can go on longer walks where his focus is on us not the barking dogs in the window or sidewalks, and is more refined in heeling. The Sam Ivy programs are an investment, but an investment that’s worth it because you are given the tools, support and confidence to achieve the goal(s) you set.

Sam Ivy K9 training has been the best dog training experience I have ever had. My year old standard poodle was a mess! Barking and going crazy if she saw other animals or someone came to the house, pulling me along during walks. I must say I was curious how distance training would work but it has been much better than in-store or the trainer who came to my house. The dog focuses on me and has learned I am in charge not someone else. I am more than happy to say my dog heals when we walk, ignores other animals and is a wonderful companion wherever I take her. What a difference! Thank you to my trainer Gina - you are a wonderful and patient person.
