We were concerned about how it would work to do virtual dog training, but it was great. It helped us to do the work with the guidance of our trainer, and kept our regular routine. It also made it easier when only one of us was able to attend. There is a layer of complication when training multiple dogs, but we worked out a way to rotate which dog attended which session that worked really well.
I've never trained dogs before, and we have two adult dogs and one puppy (just now 6 months). We weren't sure how they would respond to the change in routine. It went so much better than expected. Even our Pit mix who struggled with the crate training now goes into the crate without issue. Our Dutch Shepherd loves the structure and training, and the lab puppy has adapted very well, though she needs a little extra guidance since she's still a baby.
Walks have become much easier now. Even our two kids got involved, and I can trust my 10 year old to walk any of our dogs, when previously we struggled with them trying to drag us on walks. It was a little strange to adapt to the triangle, and not letting our dogs have the run of the house, but I can't argue with the results.
I love that we maintain access to the trainer, as well as the recorded sessions. I do feel like the program moved quickly, but we learned so much in that time. Thanks so much!

I am so happy with my experience working with Sam Ivy! Holli Kepschull and her dog, Brodie, have been my trainers. Holli has done a fantastic job by being very responsive and thoughtful in the way she has taught me to handle my dogs. You can tell that she loves her job and cares about making sure you and your dogs are successful during the training program. I have two dogs. My younger dog was struggling to listen to me and had become destructive when we left her alone at home. I knew we needed professional help when she bit another dog. I now have her behavior under control and feel confident in dealing with any new behaviors that might arise. Both my dogs have learned to trust and respect me as their leader and have become very responsive to when I tell them “no”. We can easily walk our dogs through the neighborhood and not have to worry about what we might encounter. From my initial consultation with Sam to all my training sessions with Holli, I have been so thankful to have Sam Ivy on my side. I highly recommend Sam Ivy and Holli!

Our Siberian Husky "louie" is a very good dog but he did have certain negative traits. He would jump on us and other people. He was mouthy but never broke skin. This is our 3rd husky but we never had them previously trained. Their traits were different. Louie is loving dog, and loves every one, but as he roughed it up at times with us, we were getting anxious and frustrated. Also walking him was a hassle from him pulling all the time. We couldn't find a trainer to come to the house, and didn't want to take him anywhere. While searching through the internet we came across the SamIvy program. We loved the whole concept of online training, and they provided all the necessary training tools.
We had an awesome trainer. Nate was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and a great personality. He always explained the program so we could understand everything. We couldn’t believe how much louie has changed. It was so cool . Walking him without pulling is amazing. Our neighbors constantly commits on how he changed. Louie continues to work a few things but we are so proud of him, and we owe it all to Nate. The weeks regarding our training went so fast.

My goldendoodle Rocky was biting, jumping, and taking over. We seeked help from Sam Ivy and results were immediate. Our trainer Emily was kind, VERY patient, and supportive of us and our dog. Within a few classes our dog was learning the correct way to behave. I won't lie and say the journey wasn't hard but with time you will recieve the respect you deserve from your dog. Emily even gave us help with grooming, and how to take our dog to public places. He listens to the word "NO," and knows right from wrong. This is thanks to Sam Ivy's training, and Emily's guidance.
