PSA: (LONG REVIEW TIME) Our dog Benny is number one is our lives, he is not, and has never been a bad dog. But, we did have some issues like resource guarding, fringe behaviors, overall obedience, etc. We were very skeptical due to the costs and use of "tools" to accomplish the tasks, but decided it was best, for Benny and for us, because the last thing we want is for something to happen and to lose him. Holli was our experienced trainer, she worked very closely with us and Benny to make a personalized plan, work through that plan each session, and adjust it if necessary. Benny is an overly dramatic dog who acted like the collar was killing him the first session, he survived and thrived once we found that he enjoyed working outside doing his routine and walking with the prong collar on. As time went on we watched Benny's attitude slowly change, he was still our same loving boy, but with much more confidence and respect for us. When our last session came we were sad because we truly enjoyed working with Holli and seeing Benny grow and make progress. Virtual training is admittedly different than traditional training and I was more than questionable about it but it's not about the trainer training your dog, it's about them training you how to interact with your dog, because you are the one with them everyday, and continue to grow your relationship with your furry friend everyday. We would highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 to anyone looking for good, professional, personalized training, it was worth every penny and every future moment with Benny.

I reached out to Sam Ivy virtual training for my two fur babies due to behavioral issues. They set me up with a wonderful trainer named Hollie Kepschull and it has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made. My dogs had issues with strangers and I knew that in order to do training for my pups I would have to get them use to the trainer first, but with Sam Ivy I did not have to do that. Everything is virtual and is done in the comfort of my home. I don't have to get in the car and drive somewhere to have training for my dogs, which is a great win for myself and my pups. Hollie is a wonderful trainer and is very patient and very knowledgeable. I only have great things to say about Sam Ivy Virtual Training. This decision has changed my life with my fur babies for the better.

Sam Ivy, and my trainer Holli, have been nothing but incredible to myself and my dog, Winnie. Winnie is an almost 3 year old wheaten terrier. I sought out training after Winnie started exhibiting aggressive behaviors. She also barked excessively and was hard to contain when she would get in barking fits. But the aggressive episode with a family dog opened my eyes and made me finally seek out training. I contemplated a board and train program heavily, but ultimately I know my dog best. I knew that she would probably do great while there, but lose all progress when home with just me. Most importantly, I knew that I needed to change too for Winnie, and I wouldn’t get that with a board-and-train. When I first considered Sam Ivy K9 Consultants, I was a bit hesitant about the virtual aspect of it. But Enzo was so informative during our consultation, answered all my questions, and was very straightforward with me. Looking back, I have valued the virtual style of this training more than I anticipated. Winnie’s trainer, Holli, has been so amazing to work with. She explains everything in depth and makes sure I understand why we are doing something. She is constantly checking in to see how I’m feeling, if anything has changed, or if I have any other goals. She is always so positive about the wins, and is always there to cheer me up when Winnie has a bad day. Winnie has improved so much. Before training, it was a hassle to walk Winnie because anytime she’d see another dog, she would pull and bark and growl. Now, she walks beautifully next to me and hardly pays any attention to another dog on a walk. Before, she would get in barking fits that were impossible to control. She still barks because she has a big personality, and we didn’t want to take that away from her. But the barking fits happen less and less, and when they do, I have the ability to reign her back in and calm her down. I am more confident taking her around other dogs, because I have the tools to control her and keep her well behaved. I can tell that she respects me now more than she ever has, and it has made our relationship so much better. Thanks so much to Holli and Sam Ivy K9 Consultants!!

I can't say enough about Maribel at Sam Ivy K9 Consulting. She was great in helping train our dog. She is extremely patient, reassuring and very knowledgeable. She took us from basic puppy training through advanced on leash, service dog and we just completed off leash training. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great trainer to contact Maribel.
