We are coming to the end of the first level of training with Sam Ivy. From where we were to where we are now with our 11 month old Terrier Mix (Ranger) is impressive. It's not 100% where we want it but the difference is truly noticeable. We've had multiple comments from friends/family who have noticed the difference in her overall behavior/obedience. We've had dogs most of our lives but always of the Lab/Golden Mix...never a Terrier Mix. This breed created challenges with some defiant/aggressive behavior towards the fiancé so we decided to give Sam Ivy a shot after reading multiple reviews. Our trainer, Nate, has been wonderful to work with and we highly recommend him. Make no doubt when venturing into the training, you must do the work in between sessions with your dog. The more you put in, the more you get out. This may not be for everyone, but it worked for us and we'll continue down the path Nate has provided. We would probably pursue the next level of training if it was not for other financial obligations.

We had an excellent experience with Sam Ivy. We started with a puppy who nipped, growled, and didn't obey on walks to a dog who is friendly, responsive, and happy to listen. The transformation we saw in our dog is truly remarkable.
We worked with Nate as our trainer, and he was incredible. He had amazing patience, a great sense of humor, and exemplary skill in explaining what we were going to learn, and what we were doing wrong when we first did it! The immediate feedback helped us directly address our issues and get the results much more rapidly.
We were initially a little skeptical about the online model using Zoom, but it works. It put us into the training and execution immediately, gave us more flexibility in attending training, and was a better fit for our family. The ability to watch replays of sessions is invaluable, and is an integral part to improving and learning the commands. Rewatching your early sessions is also extremely humorous.
We would highly recommend Sam Ivy, and encourage anyone who wants a no-nonsense trainer to ask for Nate who will tell it to you straight and ensure you get results.

We are forever grateful to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants, and particularly to our trainer, Freddy Santiago. Our dog, Dobby, had a lot of problem behaviors towards other people and other dogs when we reached out to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants for help. Freddy was not only extremely helpful and easy to work with, but he was also endlessly patient and kind towards us and Dobby. Freddy worked with each family member to help us to bring out the best in Dobby. Dobby is a happier dog, and we all enjoy him so much more, thanks to Freddy’s help. Gina was our consultant and was incredible! We have four dogs and the thought of taking them to get training was very daunting! When we discovered Sam ivy we weren’t quite sure what to expect but after signing up, we soon found that it was very very effective! Gina is so wonderful to work with! She makes the training easy! I would definitely recommend her!!
