It was such a quick and smooth process from meeting Brett for a consultation to our first training session! Our trainer Nate was patient, assertive, and helpful and we can't thank him enough for helping us train our stubborn lab puppy! Highly recommend Sam Ivy!

We just completed the first training course, Proper Pack Behavior, with Sam Ivy K-9 Consultants. Our rambunctious Labradoodle is so much more manageable and our entire family learned how to train her. I can’t say enough about what a positive experience it was. Our trainer Haley was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. I highly recommend training programs with Sam Ivy K-9 Consultants.

Maribel with Sam Ivy exceeded my expectations. Not sure I knew what I was up against with getting a puppy Rottweiler. Such a sweet dog but oh my...I was reluctant to say the least, that a few sessions, especially virtually, would make me change my mind that I would need to re-home my pup. I had previously decided that maybe I wasn’t what Nina needed. I didn’t have it in me to be that alpha, that leader. I mean she only stayed a “puppy” size a week! My elderly mother recently moved in with me and I thought her growing up with my mother in the house that she would be that protector when I wasn’t around. But, the chewing on EVERYTHING, the “I don’t care what you say, I’m going to do as I please,” to the jumping on everyone and everything, including my mother, to the nipping, barking, etc, etc, darn near made me give up. But, after the very FIRST session with Maribel she showed me that Sam Ivy was the real deal. She reassured me that all would be well, actually more than well, if I followed the training and committed to putting in the work. I can go on and on, but I can honestly say that every penny I spent was well worth it. I’m quite sure all the trainers with Sam Ivy are wonderful but I can truly say that Maribel is magnificent. Extremely patient, accommodating, sweet as can be, responsive and attentive. A true gem. Thank you Sam Ivy and thank you soooo much Maribel!

My husband and I were very happy with our decision to retain Sam Ivy K9 to train Buddy, our 11-year-old, pit-bull mix, with his human and dog aggression issues. Approximately three months after adopting a then nine-year-old Buddy, we began to notice Buddy's reactivity towards certain dogs and humans. We tried hiring a local dog trainer/evaluator, purchased a gentle leader and muzzle, and even purposely avoided going to certain places with Buddy. Despite our best efforts, Buddy's problems continued, culminating in a bite attack on a close family friend who was visiting our home. We had finally reached the point of no return and set about finding the best dog aggression trainers in the U.S. I came across Sam Ivy's website and was impressed by the company's expertise with addressing reactivity and aggression issues. Suffice it to say, Sam Ivy and Thuylinh, the wonderful trainer assigned to help us, did not disappoint. Thuylinh's expertise and passion for helping dogs like ours were evident, and the training and education which she provided were invaluable. After six one-and-a-half-hour virtual lessons, I have been given the tools to successfully discipline and communicate with Buddy. He no longer pulls on his leash during our walks, does not react to other dogs or humans, and behaves in a courteous and respectful manner. After Thuylinh's guidance on proper dog discipline, leash walking, and use of the prong collar, I am no longer engulfed by fear each time that we pass another person or dog. I feel in control again and have noticed that Buddy is less stressed and on edge.
Bottom line: If you are looking for affordable, highly knowledgeable, and dedicated dog trainers who genuinely care about the welfare of your dog, look no further than Sam Ivy K9.
