Joel and Sam Ivy K9 Consultants helped us to rein in our 9 month old Aussie, Kimber. Three months ago she would scream, howl and fight us when we put a leash on her. She would not listen to us and most definitely ran the house. Now, she is a joy to be around. We can take her anyplace we choose to go and she behaves perfectly. Thank you Joel for training us to train her!! We truly appreciate Joel Frawley for having the patience to work with us and instilling confidence in us to train Kimber!

About 2 years ago, I rescued a dog that was most likely a stray. He was resource protective, he had severe separation anxiety and very fearful of strangers and public places. I reached out to Sam Ivy and they developed a training plan that was specific to my dog. They helped me contextualize his behaviors and communicate with him in a way he would understand. Our trainer, Joel, was super helpful. After about 2 sessions, I saw an immediate change in my dog and I was no longer fearful about his unpredictability. To this day, my dog has transformed dramatically. We get tons of compliments when I take him in public and it feels great to see how well behaved my dog is compared to others. The training also helped me know how to train any other dog I would get in the future. The training is absolutely worth it, if i would have waited any longer to get help I probably would have needed to surrender my dog. Joel has also made himself available for any questions I've had and I am so grateful. No regrets here.

I can’t thank or recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants enough! Maribel was the perfect trainer for “me” and as a result my new puppy Dani (Daenerys) has a great start to being the best version of canine self! When we rescued Dani we quickly realized she was a large breed that would likely grow into those HUGE paws. She was very sweet and smart, but also very strong and strong willed .... at 3 months old! I am so thankful I reached out to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants so early.
Virtual training was extremely effective. It provoked me to take control as the owner in all situations, instead of relying on Maribel to “handle” Dani. I honestly believe that virtual training is better than in person (with the exception that Dani didn’t get to meet Maribel in person to give her puppy kisses and cuddles!) Throughout the 8 weeks of training, Maribel was always excited with our progress and truly invested in our success. She was patient with me, always available to answer questions along the way, and a pleasure to work with!
