I can’t thank or recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants enough! Maribel was the perfect trainer for “me” and as a result my new puppy Dani (Daenerys) has a great start to being the best version of canine self! When we rescued Dani we quickly realized she was a large breed that would likely grow into those HUGE paws. She was very sweet and smart, but also very strong and strong willed .... at 3 months old! I am so thankful I reached out to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants so early.
Virtual training was extremely effective. It provoked me to take control as the owner in all situations, instead of relying on Maribel to “handle” Dani. I honestly believe that virtual training is better than in person (with the exception that Dani didn’t get to meet Maribel in person to give her puppy kisses and cuddles!) Throughout the 8 weeks of training, Maribel was always excited with our progress and truly invested in our success. She was patient with me, always available to answer questions along the way, and a pleasure to work with!

Shadow and I had the best experience during his proper pack and on leash obedience training!
Shadow graduated today March 6th and has gained so much confidence since his first day of training!
As a 3yr old pup he didn’t have much of a chance to grow into a self assured pup, spending most of his time in a back yard, garage or in a small space w three children!
Thuylinh Nguyen was our trainer and we absolutely adore her ! Her knowledge and sensitivity to both Shadow’s and my needs made training so remarkably awesome! She is the best and if we pursue Service training we want to continue with her!
Not only did Shadow’s low self esteem improve but it improved my skills tremendously to continue working with Shadow after his graduation!
We will miss our weekly sessions w Thuylinh very much but she has instilled confidence in both Shadow and myself that we will remain successful with our continued training on our own!

We did the advanced on-leash program with Nate for our young female pitbull mix rescue and we are really happy with the results! She is more confident and has a strong foundation for behaving inside the house and is amazing out on walks with other dogs a neighbors around. We did the entire curriculum over zoom which was really convenient and helpful in reinforcing my husband and I as the alphas instead of having another person around giving our dog commands. Nate was great at working with us on the leash commands and let us bring in our other male pitbull who was formerly trained by Sam ivy on the advanced off-leash program and now he is better than ever.

Hello Nate, I want to thank you for everything you have done for our family with learning to lead our new family member, Mango. Mango is happy and so am I. I was very nervous and concerned with a virtual training course. Once we began the classes, I new it would be a great experience. You are indeed patient but firm. You taught me to use my "Big Girl" voice when giving Mango commands. The entire family sees the change over the past few weeks. We will continue to use every tool and words of encouragement to push Mango to greatness! Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you!
