I am extremely pleased with Sam Ivy K9 Consultants; they are highly professional and the training far exceeded my expectations. They provided online training that was and is exceptional! They customized the training to me and my dog and the transformation in his behavior is remarkable. Everyone I have interacted with at Sam Ivy has been amazing, reliable, experienced and genuine. I would highly recommend Sam Ivy to anyone whether you have a puppy or older dog- their approach and method is phenomenal. I highly recommend the online training as it is flexible, in you and your dogs environment, safe and individualized. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

My 3.5 year old German Shepherd/Malamute/Husky mix is very dog reactive on leash and it was making every single walk stressful for both of us. Now that she’s 80lbs, it was making it difficult for me to control her if a dog did pop up, and walks just became short, anxious, and stressful.
I’m so so so glad I finally reached out to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants and that I got Thuylinh as the trainer! Within two weeks I noticed some progress and I became more confident and comfortable handling my pup on walks. Thuylinh taught me all about how to handle her, how to establish structure, and much more. She’s very patient and very thorough with her explanations, always ready to answer any little question I have.
I was hesitant about virtual training but it felt like she was right here with me showing me! It made my dog focus on me and not the trainer, and it’s awesome that they’re all recorded so I can always rewatch later. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful company! My girl is very reactive on leash towards other dogs and since she's 80lbs, it's been difficult to control her around other dogs. My Sam Ivy trainer, Thuylinh, taught me all about proper pack behavior and how to give her structure in her life so that she is obedient, less anxious, and overall just much easier to handle. I was honestly worried about the virtual training aspect and thought it wouldn't be as effective, but Thuylinh has been extremely communicative, very thorough in our video sessions, and explains everything so clearly. I'm still part way through training but my pup has made remarkable progress and now I'm able to walk her without worrying as much about other dogs. Walks for both my pup and me are so much less stressful now!

I got my corgi in 2012 when she was just a puppy, and it was just her and me for a few years. Then in 2015, my boyfriend (now husband) rescued a 3-year-old pit bull from the side of the road, which threw the corgi's "only child/favorite child" world for a whirl. Then in 2018 my desire to rescue a German Shepherd resulted in us bringing in a sweet (but severely traumatized) 3-year old GSD into the home. Over the next two years, the corgi's crankiness (resource-guarding, and aggressiveness towards the pit bull) reached critical mass, and the GSD's general anxiety around new people and new dogs had not dissipated like we hoped. We knew it was finally time to get some help.....
My sister used Thuylinh Nguyen to work on getting her Great Pyrennes puppy Service Dog certified, and ranted and raved about how incredible she was with him. So my husband and I decided to use her for our pups, and we could not be more pleased with the results!!! The corgi exhibits less resource-guarding behavior, and the GSD has actually started letting our friends/family pet him a little (baby steps....). Thuylinh was so patient and wonderful with our babies, and always had excellent advice when I had questions like "what do we do when they....?". If you are even remotely considering doing a training program for your pup(s), Sam Ivy (and Thuylinh) is the way to go!
