Highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. A Google search led me to the company, which at first I was hesitant to use because they weren't local to me and would be conducting the sessions via Zoom. Enzo explained to me on the consultation call that even if the trainer were physically in my home, he or she would not touch my dog. They want you to do the work. He explained to me the process and I was hopeful and signed up on the spot. The trainer he assigned to me, Gina, texted me immediately and we set up the initial meeting to discuss the issues we were having with Webster and the process. Gina was always on time, professional and very knowledgeable. They shipped all of the materials I needed directly to me and we began our sessions. Webster was having three issues: Walking, barking and marking. The first issue I saw immediate improvement with was walking. Webster used to walk behind me and weave in and out of my legs. Gina taught me the proper leash technique, and right away I was able to get him walking beside me. Webster suffers from anxiety and while his medication helped him, it didn't fix everything. He was feeling like no one was in control of the house, so he felt he needed to be thorough marking and barking. My daughter was very hesitant to use the e-collar. Gina was very respectful of our concerns and walked us through what it is and what it isn't, and explained that we are really giving him the gift of confidence. Once we began that part of the training, we were really able to get the barking under control, quickly. My husband works from home and is on conference calls throughout the day, so he can't have a dog going berserk in the background. Now, Webster will get excited when dogs or people walk by our house, but he is able to control himself and just watch. The marking is a little tricker because I have to catch him in the act. I've been able to do that a couple of times now, and will continue to work with him. I feel confident that we can get this totally under control in the next week. Overall, the process was easy and successful. Zoom was not an issue at all. I was able to use my laptop and Gina could see everything. It was very convenient. Highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants!

We cannot speak highly enough of the methods or the results. We asked Sam Ivy to train a 110-pound Great Dane, Murphy, and a 20 pound long-haired dachshund, Hermann, in the same home. Both responded wonderfully. Gina, the trainer, was exceedingly patient and persistent - and very prompt for each in-home session. We paid for the initial "basic" training. The results have been so strong that we are excited about the second phase of training for both pups. Before training, Murphy (a 1-year-old) would lunge and be a tremendous burden on the leash with my wife. After, we were able to take him in public and to street festivals under complete control. Thank you, Sam Ivy!

My wife and I started with the intermediate leash training. Our chocolate lab Kahlua was 10 months old and had serious resource gaurding and was sometimes aggressive toward me and my son, but not towards my wife. Kahula had even bit me! Maribel was/is our trainer and she has an outstanding personality, she is very professional, and truly understands what was needed to help us correct our issues. It worked!!! Sam Ivy K9 is excellent in dog training, so much so, that we are going to continue to train our Kahlua to be a service dog for me. You will not go wrong with choosing Sam Ivy K9

We were desperate to find a solution to our 6-year-old French bulldog, Georgia’s, aggression/behavior problems. We have a 10-month-old baby and Georgia began showing signs of aggression/jealousy towards our baby as soon as she started crawling. I was hoping to find a board and train program where Georgia could be trained off-site since my schedule is so hectic with work and a young baby. After reading several reviews online, I decided to reach out to Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. I was very skeptical about online, virtual training and having to do all of the training myself; however, it was the best decision we’ve ever made. We were in control and were able to address all her issues in the environment where they needed to be corrected. Our trainer, Thuylinh Nguyen, was OUTSTANDING! We saw results in Georgia’s behavior almost immediately. She used to get very jealous around the baby, attack visitors and packages at the front door and also attack the vacuum/broom. Now, with the tools and techniques that we learned through training, we can open the front door to get packages, welcome visitors, vacuum freely and play with the baby in the same room as Georgia. We are so happy that we found Sam Ivy – it has truly changed our lives!
