I cannot express how happy I am with the decision to enroll my dogs in training. Even if you don’t think your dogs really “need” it, they do. My fiancé and I were panicking for months about integrating our households, I have an elderly Akita mix and a beagle, and Craig has a pit bull/boxer mix, none of which were ever trained. A really happy step in our life was causing us a ton of stress, we even looked into rehoming one of the dogs. However, we decided to try training instead. We scheduled a consult with Enzo and he explained the entire process, the reasoning behind their training process, and really gave us hope for our situation. Erica was our trainer and she was incredible. She worked with our situation, driving to both Tampa and Clearwater each week to train both dogs separately, and was a vital part in integrating the household. She gave us the tools and confidence we needed to really make us effective dog owners. She was a pleasure to work with, making the process easy to understand and enjoyable, and she answered all of our crazy dog parent questions quickly and without judgement. I could have never imagined that joining these three crazy dogs would be so easy. The control we have over our household, the difference in our dogs, while still being “them”, and the peace of mind has been more than worth it. I highly recommend Sam Ivy training, and Erica especially.

Our sweet Vienna is a Sam Ivy success story! Alexis was our trainer and we cannot say enough positive things about her and our training experience! One of the big things we wanted to work on with Vienna was being able to bring her around my sister’s cat. Previously, Vienna would run after the cat and whine incessantly to play with him, but the cat would have no part of it. After working with Alexis, we are now able to go over to my sister’s house and Vienna remains calm enough that the cat doesn’t immediately run and hide! We are so thrilled about this! Other things Alexis helped us with include teaching Vienna to stay on her spot, not running to the front door and barking like crazy when the doorbell rings, and walking better on a leash. We are so pleased with Vienna’s training and highly recommend Alexis and the Sam Ivy team!

My wife and I bought a female Golden Retriever ("Ayra") and we took a few weeks to decide if we going to train her (or not).
After an extensive research, we made an educated decision and went for Sam Ivy K9 Consultant. Back in September, Ayra was 5 months old.
We scheduled a first consultation meeting and Claudia came to our house to explain all nuances of the different training programs, length of classes, scheduling, results to be expected, etc.
It was noticeable that we were dealing with professionals that have true passion for animals, advanced training knowledge and demonstrated commitment towards outstanding customer service.
We made our decision with confidence and signed Ayra up for the training program. We chose Blas Cardenas as our dog trainer. :-)

Our Golden Retriever started the training classes when she was 5 months old. We are about to get our dog training completed and it is really amazing to see the positive progress made: the dog is very obedient, focused, carries a posture of a trained dog, she plays when it is time to play, she stays in the crate without barking or whining, her walking pace is great (no leash pulling), she seats as we stop walking and she accepts the commands without hesitation.
We just couldn't be happier with the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by Blas Cardenas. We can express with confidence that every penny invested in the training program was worth it.
Now we truly understand why Sam Ivy K9 Consultants have an undisputed reputation in nowadays' competitive marketplace.

From our initial consultation to our last training appointment, we had such an incredible experience with Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. Our trainer, Alexis, was fantastic and truly transformed our two dogs—not an easy feat when they’re both large breeds and lack proper manners. She not only showed us how to teach our dogs proper “pack behaviors,” but also taught us how to manage one of our dog’s skittishness and anxiety. Previously, we couldn’t manage both dogs simultaneously—now, they walk together, greet people nicely, and are all-around so much more obedient. Thank you, Alexis and Sam Ivy team!
