Long story short, I cannot recommend them enough. Thuylinh has been absolutely amazing and the difference in my pup is night and day. He listens now!
Long story not-so-short, I adopted a Great Pyrenees puppy and tried to do a group training class and it was extremely insufficient. He was still barking excessively, jumping into the pool every chance he got, jumping up on people, being aggressive when greeting people at the house, and just generally being disobedient and not listening. I am not a large person, so physically wrangling my 100 lbs puppy was not going to happen. I found Sam Ivy on google and decided their training program seemed like the best fit for my pup. We started our sessions with Thuylinh only about 2 weeks ago, only 7 sessions so far, and the difference is almost unbelievable. He listens to the word "no" and immediately stops whatever he was doing to warrant the no and comes to me. He hasn't tried to get in the pool since we started. He comes when I call him, although we still have a little work to do on that. And, with one exception, he hasn't been aggressive when greeting people. My pup has always been a good, sweet dog but now his behavior shows him in a much better light. I am really looking forward to continuing his training, at the very least, through the off leash training and will probably even go for the service dog training as well.
PS: I will be using the techniques I have learned from Thuylinh to train my other dogs and any dogs I have in the future. It just works. And no months and months of frustration with no signs of progress.
