I had the initial consultation for my schnauzer, Lucas, in the beginning of January, and now in February, I can’t thank Sam Ivy K9 Consultants enough for truly transforming my dog! Lucas had problems with aggression, barking, jumping, soiling, running away, etc., and I was starting to feel out of control of his situation which is why I made the initial consultation. I spoke with Claudia, who really made me feel like the proper pack behavior program was worth it. I felt so much relief that I’d finally be able to properly communicate with my dog and be in a home where people wouldn’t be nervous due to Lucas’ constant and obsessive barking. I felt even better when I met my trainer, Maribel, who further reassured me that the program would work 100%. She was super sweet, she was always clear when giving instructions, she always made herself available if I had any questions or concerns, she was always understanding when any complications came up, and she was always very professional and punctual. Within a week, I could feel like my dogs behavior was changing and I couldn’t wait to see how he would behave when the program was done. Now, one month later, my family and everyone that knows Lucas always asks me, “You’re sure this isn’t a different dog?”. I’m so proud of the progress my dog has made and I’m forever thankful for all the help the people at Sam Ivy have given me and my dog, I can’t recommend them enough!!

Maribel was my trainer. She was always on time.
She was kind and taught me how to firmly get my dog to understand that I am in charge and he is not.
He is now friendly to other dogs in my neighborhood.
And he stopped jumping on visitors. I am very happy I hired Sam Ivy dog trainers.

We recently rescued a dog from the Bahamas as a playmate for our other dog. Our new pup came with lots of fears and as a result would exhibit fear-based aggression, growling and snapping. I knew I needed help correcting and managing her behavior and reached out to Sam Ivy. Both dogs started with the On-Leash Obedience and Erica was our Trainer. She was professional, knowledgeable and always available for questions between training sessions. I looked forward to each session and found Erica to be very committed and invested in our dogs’ success. Throughout the course, I learned the techniques to communicate with the dogs in their language, teach obedience skills, establish boundaries for behavior and take charge of situations. They now respect my direction and look to me for guidance. Due to the positive results we were seeing, we continued on to the Intermediate Off-Leash Obedience training. The program overall is an investment of both money and time, however, with consistency and dedication, it does produce results. Our dogs thrived with the training and are now easily handled, calm and confident in new situations. Highly recommended.

We were not sure what to expect with this type of dog training but what an amazing experience. Joel, our trainer, was awesome! He worked with our entire family of 5. Unbelievable the changes in our dog Stitch. We now have a well behaved dog and a much calmer house. We could not have achieved these results without the professionalism, expertise, and patience of our trainer Joel. THANK YOU JOEL AND SAM IVY. Money well spent!
