Our trainer Joel was exquisite with our german shepard puppy! He is intuitive and knows the breed well and understood what level of discipline to give her in each scenario so she would not feel discouraged and insecure in herself during the process. The program is perfect! My sister is now using Sam Ivy to train her German Shepard based on her impression from our well behaved dog. I cant recommend them enough!

Highly reccommend Sam Ivy! We worked with Gina and she was great! We originally went looking for help because our dogs (2 great pyrenees) did not listen and they had aggression issue with people coming to our house. We went through their "intermediate off leash" program and it was worth every penny. They are totally differnt different dogs now, thank you Gina!

I can not say enough good things about this company and the training program they use! My 3.5 year old German Shepherd, Max, and I have been working in Deanna; she is amazing and has changed our lives for the better! In the few short weeks since she has been in our lives Max has transformed from an incredibly high energy, anxious, Tasmanian devil of a dog to a much calmer, more obedient dog who is a joy to be around rather than a stressor in life. Probably most importantly, Deanna has been calm and patient teaching ME how to work with Max. She is flexible with schedule and always available for questions between sessions.

After looking around and checking reviews on dog trainers in our area Sam Ivy stood out from the crowd.
Our companion “Boss” was fairly well behaved but began to exhibit aggressive tendencies. Sam came to our house for a consultation and effectively and clearly identified the causes of Boss’s behavioral issues and the solutions.
After thinking about it over night my wife and I decided to move forward with the obedience program. It was expensive but if it prevented our dog from biting one person - it would be well worth it.
Sam assigned Joel as our trainer. Upon meeting Boss, Joel seemed to connect with him immediately. With each lesson we were given assignments to practice and clearly defined goals. We saw immediate improvement and with each lesson the behaviors that concerned us started to diminish.
By the end of the program Boss, was a different dog. As with any training method it is the dog owners responsibility to put in the required effort. However, the methods employed by the Sam Ivy team absolutely worked. For these reasons I highly recommend them.
