Our 2 dogs (Pit Mix and Rottweiler) completed intermediate on-leash training. Amazing transformation in just a couple of months with Alexis as the trainer. We were surprised when Alexis brought her service dog, Marley, along to each training session---we're sure Marley expedited the time necessary to train our dogs. After about 6 weeks, Alexis encouraged us to take them to an outdoor market (lots of vendors, smells, people, children and dogs). I would have never attempted this previously on my own and even wanted to cancel because I was so nervous our dogs would misbehave.. However, our dogs were the STARS of the markets! At least 8 people said our Rottweiler was a GOOD DOG and one lady even called him an Angel. Once Alexis told us and demonstrated how to interact/train our dogs we humans became the Alphas of our pack. . . . It was well worth the investment. Many thanks to Alexis and Marley.

Our golden retriever Benny was 1 year old when we started training in January due to behavioral issues like running out the door, jumping on people, thinking he owned the house, separation anxiety, etc. My husband and I didn’t know what to do especially since we have a little one due in May, so we looked into trainers and thought Sam Ivy K9 Consultants would be the best fit for us since they came to your house to do the training. Our trainer Alexis is the absolute BEST! Within 3 sessions Benny was no longer running out the door and he quickly learned that he couldn’t jump on anyone unless he was commanded to. By the end of Benny’s training program that only took 3 months Benny was a completely different dog (with his same lovable personality) Benny just graduated the Intermediate Off-Leash program today and had a great time celebrating at the dog beach. Thank you Alexis for all you did you made our lives so much easier!!!!

Our family had such a great experience using Sam Ivy K9 Consultants! Our puppy, Mr. Kite, was full of energy and playful, getting into everything around the house, and he was so friendly and curious when outside that he was difficult to manage on walks. Miguel worked with us and now Mr. Kite is disciplined, obedient, and easy to manage while still retaining his playful, sweet, and outgoing personality. Having a well-trained dog helps us enjoy our time with him more because we experience more positive interactions without having to frequently punish or scold him for mistakes. My kids enjoy their time with him without the worry that he will nip at them. Overall, we are very satisfied and will highly recommend to others! Thanks Miguel!

I found Sam Ivy K9 online, and after reading several reviews, decided to contact them regarding some aggression issues with one of our dogs, who is 3 years old. She previously had basic obedience training thru another company, but I decided to try a different route. I went with the on-leash training, and Alexis was our trainer. She was fabulous, and put forth the extra effort, also bringing her own well-trainer dog on several occasions, to teach mine proper restraint, as well as socialization skills. I also learned that when e-collars are used correctly, they can go a long way towards correcting bad behaviors. And our girl has been no less happy or playful. In fact, a few of the sessions involved meeting in public places in which dogs were allowed (including a yearly doggy shin dig at Riverwalk), and our pooch did great. She was well-mannered around the many other dogs.
In any case, Alexis was respectful, timely, and very helpful, and all with a pleasant personality. I would use Sam Ivy again, and am entertaining off-leash training next.
My only sidenote would be that some of the tools such as the e-collar and prong collar can be found much cheaper online, such as thru Amazon.
