Our dog needed some help (and apparently so did we). Jackie was our trainer and was great to work with...flexible, understanding, and consistent. With continued practice our dog has improved significantly. I highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. Thanks Jackie!

We got a German Shepherd and decided we wanted her to be trained by the best. At 12 weeks old Rielly started training with Alexis from Sam Ivy. Alexis met with us twice a week for training sessions and gave us weekly homework assignments. Rielly is now 6 months old and is on and off lease trained. We have had many outings where Rielly got exposed to numerous distractions and various social situations while being off lease. Our once crazy, energetic puppy who wouldn’t listen to any command or stop biting is now a well behaved pup. Thank you Alexis and Sam Ivy for helping us out we wouldn’t have made it this far without you!!

When I brought home my new Doberman girl Storm I was instantly in love, but she gave me every challenge a puppy possibly could pose for a dog owner. From incessant barking and whining throughout the night, severe house breaking issues, to pulling on the leash, jumping and mouthing - you name it, she did it and she did it REALLY well! Even after having owned dogs my entire life I was lost and overwhelmed and started getting frustrated. When she started chewing my door and window frames in my house I realized I could not wait any longer and decided to get professional help. I met with several trainers to discuss training options but after consulting with Claudia I knew Sam Ivy was the perfect fit for us. I loved the fact that the trainer would come to your home to train with you where you experience the bad behavior. I started training with Maribel and the difference in Storm's behavior was truly day and night. After just one session with her, Storm's demeanor changed entirely - from a stubborn Dobie that was lacking respect for its owner to submissive and willing to being lead. Housebreaking and other issues like pulling on the leash or jumping were solved almost instantly. While I knew that dog training would require hard work, time and persistence the impact that training with Maribel has made in our lives in only 3 weeks is nothing short of amazing. We have now moved on from Proper Pack Behavior to Intermediate On-Leash training and I look forward to every training session with Maribel. It just keeps getting better! Truly thankful for everyone at Sam Ivy, from the initial contact Angie, to Claudia the coordinator and last but most definitely not least our girl Maribel. You are the best!

Gina at Sam Ivy saved our family from having to rehome our dog. We have a Catahoula/Lab mix who was showing aggression towards our 2 year old. She was also a general nuisance and embarrassment in public and when people came to our home. We were on the verge of getting rid of her for fear of her attacking our son. With Sam Ivy's training techniques, we stopped the aggression and have a pleasant family dog with manners. She learned to respect our toddler and although she's still hyperactive, she's learned to control her impulse behavior. Gina was amazing- flexible in scheduling, always on time, always available for questions and listened to all of our concerns. She was very patient during training sessions where my son was being a handful. Thank you, Gina and Sam Ivy!
