Life with my dog was full of incessant barking, growling and angry neighbors. A sweet rescue mutt, Romeo was unruly, loud and hated the leash and other dogs. Enter MARIBEL (from Sam Ivy) who, with knowledge and assertiveness, assured me that the dog would quickly turn around. She was right! Maribel taught me to be my dog's alpha, and how to manage every annoying or destructive behavior. Things improved so fast that my neighbors couldn't believe the difference. Thank you, Maribel, for your leadership and patient training. Life is so much quieter and fun with a calm, confident dog.

We are so happy that we chose Sam Ivy K-9 to help us with our dog Lucky! It has made a tremendous difference in her behavior and in ours as well. We adopted Lucky from a dog shelter a few years ago. When walking her in the neighborhood, we noticed she would pull on the leash and had aggressive behavior towards other dogs. In order to control her we would walk her on two leashes. Our neighborhood also has many dogs, some not always in control by their owner. She had been attacked a few times, which made her aggression and tolerance even worse. It became so bad we stopped walking her in the neighborhood and would take her to a secluded area either early in the morning or late at night, as to not run into any other dogs. It was exhausting. We knew we had to solve this leash aggression issue. Both Claudia and Sam sat down with us and explained how the program worked in detail, and answered all of our questions. Our trainer was Maribel, and it was amazing how quickly she was able to help us with our dog walks, which was our primary problem. Within a few weeks we were able to walk Lucky in our neighborhood with no leash pulling and with control. Maribel also helped me build my confidence in being a leader for Lucky, which has made Lucky more calm & trusting. I am so thankful for the help she provided us. We still have some practicing on our own to do to solidify what we have learned, but we are now able to take Lucky outside for walks in our neighborhood, and enjoy them!

Our dog walker let us know about Sam Ivy K9. Our Golden Retriever puppy was then 3 1/2 months old. We were seeking training to reduce/remove her behaviors such as biting, jumping, barking, and pulling while being walked on a leash. Alexis was our trainer. She is great. Very knowledgeable about dogs, patient, understanding, and a great pleasure to work with. The training was individual and was in our home for the first few weeks. At the end of each training session, we noticed immediate improvements in our dog’s behavior. After 6 sessions, our dog’s biting was almost non-existent and she would listen to commands to stop, she was walking by our side, she was not jumping on people, and her barking was reduced. The final sessions were outside: a park to interact with other people and dogs, a pet store, and at an outdoor restaurant so our dog would lie down during a meal. Alexis was great reminding us of what we need to do so our dog knows what we want. We enjoyed working with Alexis and highly recommend her as a dog trainer.

We hired Sam Ivy and we we're lucky enough to get Gina as our trainer. Our dog Max was scarred of the world when we got him as a rescue and his fear of everything caused him to have a miserable life. Gina was very patient with my wife and I and Max and helped us how to build Max's confidence and show him that we we're the "pack leaders." Gina was very good at explaining how our actions were causing Max stress. Over the course of the training Max blossomed into a new and more confident dog. With Gina's instruction we were able to conquer Max's fear. Max now goes everywhere with us, parks, restaurants and public places. Taking Max to a busy outdoor restaurant was unthinkable until Gina trained US (more than Max) on how to give him confidence and direction. Max even looks different now. He is no longer permanently tail tucked, ears back and hiding. Gina from Sam Ivy saved our dog and our sanity.
