We had a very positive experience with Sam Ivy. Ryann was a great trainer and helped us identify the behaviors we wanted to change and provided strategies to achieve our goals. She truly adored our dog and was patient with us. We are thrilled to have a much calmer and polite member of our family.

When I first met with Sam, I was edging on desperate. Gunner, my rottie mix, was a sweet boy - but very much the "man of the house." My husband had recently left and Gunner was protective of me and our new home to the point that I couldn't even have company over! Sam immediately made me feel like everything was going to be alright. He explained that Gunners instincts to be protective of me was a good thing, but that we needed to teach the pup that I would now be the family "Alpha" and Gunns didn't need to be "on duty" all the time. We began training with Noura and I could see a turn around almost immediately. Gunner took to Noura like peanut butter to jelly, and she saw his potential and brought out the best in him (in both of us really.) Training with Noura gave us both confidence in our selves and each other. Gunner has now graduated service dog training, and we're constantly complimented on his exceptional behavior. My crazy pup (who previously was crashing through windows to bark at men walking down my street) now sits quietly in restaurants and on airplanes. He's become a tool that I rely on daily, and Noura has truly been a godsend to our family.

We are first-time dog owners and we needed a trainer who would listen to us, collaborate with us, and hold our hands through the process of forging a relationship with our six-month old retriever-cattle dog puppy, Chloe. And, Alexis, was NOTHING short of any of what we wished for! Her home visits were events we looked forward to; there were evenings when she would spend more than her scheduled 'training time' with us and with Chloe at our home or in the dog parks/public places. Alexis has a temperament that made her an absolute joy to work with; and I am very confident Chloe attests to that as well! We are grateful to her. Chloe is now leash trained; crate-comfortable, trained to remain in a spot when asked, socialized to interact/play with dogs (she was good with people) and overall, much more calm and even-keeled.

SAM'S Ivey training has been tremendous for my Lab/hound dog and me! I adopted Sadie from the Humane Society and when she turned 2 she began to exhibit aggression when eating and with sharing toys at a dog daycare facility. One of my co-workers recommended Sam Ivey and Ryann the trainer and I quickly made the call and am so happy I did. Ryann is absolutely a top notch trainer who is so knowledgeable about dog behaviors and also helped me with my anxiety regarding Sadie`s behavior and how we could help her to be less fearful and happier. We had never left Sadie alone at home because she would howl and cry when we left her and Ryann suggested crate training and the results are incredible. Sadie considers the crate her home and feels safe there and we are working on leaving her alone with success. At Ryann's suggestion we also fed Sadie in her crate and her agression regarding eating around our cats has vanished. Sadie was also fearful of other people, dogs, and distractions when I walked her and with Ryann's leash and collar training we can now have good walks with less anxiety for her and me. Training is not just for your pet but also for us humans. It was sometimes traumatic for me as well but the results are well worth it. I now have the knowledge to help Sadie and it will not stop now that the training sessions are over. Ryann has given me the tools I need to help Sadie stay happy and not be afraid.
