The training program from Sam Ivy K9 truly changed our lives. Nobody understands what it's like to have an aggressive dog until they actually have one. We used to be those people that were embarrassed to take our dog out in public because of his behavior. We envied people who could just walk their dogs by other dogs without them turning aggressive like our dog Otis did. We tried a dog "behaviorist" earlier this year and it just didn't work. When we heard about the training program at Sam Ivy from other owners who had success with their dog's aggressive behavior, we knew we had to give it a try. Ryann, our trainer, was extremely patient and understanding, having had an aggressive dog herself. She was professional, knowledgable and helped us reconnect with our dog in ways I thought weren't going to be possible. Putting him through this program was the best decision we could have ever made. Five weeks later and he's a new dog. Not only have we overcome his behavior issues but we also have a trained, happy and obedient dog. Otis used to see red and bark aggressively at other dogs, bikes, trucks, etc. Now he's confident and we enjoy our walks and time together. Thank you, Ryann! We couldn't have done it without you! :)

We had Alexis as our trainer and she is so energetic and great! Spartacus was only 10 weeks old when we started training but she was still able to hold his attention span. Our first meeting we basically needed everything done with this puppy. He couldn't walk on a leash, wouldn't listen to commands, and was uncontrollable. He transformed into a puppy that walked well, listened to commands, and we are more able to direct his energy towards other things if he starts to get distracted and unruly. We get comments all the time from all our neighbors saying how well he walks on his leash and how well he behaves. Mouthing is still a bit of an issue, but being a puppy we just have to keep on correcting it and give him alternatives. What most people don't know is and with all dogs that we all still have to work with him everyday and practice what we learned, but that's the fun of it because it gives us time together and makes him work for his treats. Because of his breed (half Doberman/half german shepherd) and his 100 pound anticipated size, we want him to be properly trained and I don't think I would have picked anyone else but Sam Ivy Canine Consultants to do so. They also have a "lifetime" guarantee which I like since in case he develops any new unwanted behaviors as he grows, they are available to help correct it. Alexis is also quick to respond to text messages if I ask her anything at most times of the day. I highly recommend Sam Ivy!

We are very happy with the training we (our dogs) received through Sam Ivy. I was uncertain at first if they were the right fit for our two-dog pack as one of our dogs has a more timid personality but we were able to bring her confidence up & she's such a good girl now. She was a good girl before - we just had a little work to do. Our other dog (male) was super confident & because of that assumed the protector role over the other. With the work we did - we are able to have a much more happy household. Our pups weren't "bad" - they just weren't always as good as they could be. It was well worth the expense. We did Proper Pack, Intermediate On-Leash & Advanced On-Leash training. Our walks are way more relaxed for all of us. Alexis - well I can't say enough about our trainer. She is passionate about what she does & takes a great interest in our specific situations. She met us multiple times off-site (outside of our home) to assist with managing the dogs in a pet store around other dogs & at the veterinarian too. She even brought her dog over two different occasions to work through some issues. They did great! She had the patience to teach the two of us (me & my husband) & our two different personality dogs. She even had my mother come to a training session since she often pet sits for us when we are away. Can't say enough about her. The fact that our dogs are 3.5 & 5 years old didn't matter. They took to the Sam Ivy training method & their trainer & us after just a few sessions we saw great progress. Thank you Sam Ivy & Alexis!!

Thanks to Claudia and Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. My 3 Chichihuas (11,10&9) were a noisy unruly pack when anyone would come to my home. They were the definition of ankle biters. And worst of all the boy dogs were marking in the house. When I moved to my brand new home things had to change. Claudia helped train me and my "pack" so now there are no more accidents and my friends can really see the difference. It's a pleasure to entertain in my home again with my fur babies!
