I started my journey not having a clue what to do with my boy. He is my first puppy, to train myself. (I’ve had pups before but parents did the training.) I knew I wanted to eventually have him certified but I didn’t want to pay $$$$. Sam Ivy was the first link to pop up, After seeing nearly 1,000 amazing 4 star reviews I was convinced this was the way to go. I immediately called and set up an appointment. (Being that it was a Saturday I was surprised they picked up immediately to help) Copper was 4 months old when we started, we just moved back in with my parents and 2 crazy dogs and his behavior was unruly. Brad paired us with Ryan ❤️ She’s a godsend! If I had any questions out side of training she would answer immediately. She’s very patient with Copper and the other dogs that came in to visit. Copper exceeded both our expectations and it was like he found his calling. He is now 6 months and is doing amazing with the first package. We will be continuing with Sam Ivy over the course of the next year until he is fully serviced! Thank you Ryan! I can’t wait to see you again! (It will be soon )

SamIvy has worked wonders with dog Loki. I really like how they mail you the tools and give you the necessary lessons to go back to for review. Additionally, I’ve had trainers in the past who weren’t sympathetic with my schedule but SamIvy understood my concerns and worked to ensure I was matched with a trainer who understands my needs/goals. My trainer is Holli and she is the best. I feel comfortable working with her and I love how she includes her dog Brody as a demonstration whenever we do our lessons.

The team at Sam Ivey has been great! We have used board and train programs for our other dogs with minimal success. We were looking for something different for our shelter shocked London. This was exactly what she needed. Since you are the one actually training your dog, they have the respect for you as their leader immediately vs having them having to relearn you are their leader when you use a board and train. London was a very loving, but also very reactive dog when we adopted her. After 6 weeks of training, she has made so much progress. We can go on walks without constant pulling a reaction. She and her sister get along so well. You have to put in the work, but I can say without a doubt, that Sam Ivey and our trainer Nate have helped us make London the part of the family we knew she could and needed her to be!
