We recently adopted a four year old Pitbull (Stanley) from the humane society less than 2 months ago. We were told that he was given up by his second owners and there was a chance he might never be adopted. Once we brought him home for the first week he seemed obedient but quickly he became hard to bring under control. He would whimper out in public if he didn't get his way and he was very defiant. We quickly learned at his first vet visit with us that his playfulness was quickly turning into him jumping and trying to bite at peoples faces which if not controlled soon, would lead to bigger matters and possibly being put down. After contacting SamIvy K-9 Consultants, SamIvy himself came to our home and explained what was happening and why it was happening and how they could fix the problem. He told us that he was sending us one of his top trainers: Claudia, to train on proper pact behavior (on leash) and obedience training. Claudia came out and taught us the basic commands and training that completely changed the behavior of Stanley within the first couple of sessions. Claudia took her time and had patience with us and Stanley and answered all of our questions and concerns, she is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She taught us how to not get frustrated during the training process with Stanley and remain calm and in control of the situation. We highly recommend SamIvy K-9 Consultants, and Claudia in particular as she is an amazing trainer!
