The service was fine. The plumber, Ian, was great. The price quoted was very high, but with a leaking pipe in a multi-unit condo I couldn't let it go overnight or I would have gotten another quote. That is a professional opinion as I am a retired general contractor and facilities maintenance professional.
Update:
The service manager called me a couple of days after the service regarding my initial lower rating and said that they had "mis-classified" the charges for my service and I would be getting a $298 refund on the $708 initial bill. This is more in line with what the charge should have been. I have received the refund and I am now very satisfied with this transaction.

Hawthorne did a great job getting my new a/c installed! Sure was nice to have cold air when I got home!
UPDATE: I have had my routine maintenance on the AC and on my heater as well as the water heater. This was part of the package when I bought the AC. I now have been enrolled in the lifetime program for "heroes" just by showing my DD214. Pretty cool!

Service Technician was efficient and on time. Updating my review to reflect my concern with being overpriced on the water heater anode rod. The General Manager, Angel Martinez, took the time to call me and listen to my concerns. The technician came and left without us ever learning what our plumbing issue was and he surely did not fix it. It seems as if he was just coming to pitch us a service plan and we still have issues with the toilet. He made the trip quickly and did not charge us a service fee, so that was definitely some good marks for him.

They were recommended by my hot water heater company as my unit was leaking after 2 years. They were more expensive to perform a warranty swap than it was for another company to give me the same exact unit that was brand new. Still scratching my head how that can happen. The gentleman was super great and on time, however, I never got a copy of the quotes that I asked for. Probably for the best anyway!

Your plumber was professional and polite . I would have utilized him but to the price to replace a kitchen faucet, when I had already bought the faucet was to much . $360.00 or something close to that . If it took him 3 hours that is still over $100.00 per hour . I am a senior, and disabled veteran . Thanks

This was a maintenance call on a air conditioning system they cost me $9,000 a few years ago. I was so much distress that I had to pay for the labor after spending that much money.

I had your man come out for a free estimate but was charged a 59.00 service fee to find the leak. He had no meter to find a leak. I showed him where I thought it might be. He said it was diffinity irrigation. He also said if by chance it was main line it would cost about 3500 dollars. When irrigation came out they said it was diffinity main line and not irrigation. They also charged me 60.00. I have paid 119.00 dollars and no leak fixed yet . Very disappointing.

I got Hawthorne from AO Smith (Lowes vendor) to fix defective bib faucet on a water heater under warranty. The Hawthorne tech came out, diagnosed and got authorization from AOSmith to do the job, but the tech said his manager told him Hawthorne wouldn't do it. I called AOSmith and they said they said they never heard such a thing and told me to get my own plumber and I would be reimbursed.
Hawthorne is the only authorized AOSmith plumber in Las Vegas. The fix is simple. Drain water heater, unscrew faucet, screw in new faucet and turn back on. I got the part free from Lowe's. I won't be using Hawthorne. Very unprofessional.

quoted $59 to replace PRV on water heater; when they arrived they then informed me it was $160 which is absurdly expensive for 20 minutes of work plus travel time. If it was an hour in total with travel that is still an absurd rate. Their accounting department called me and had an I don't care attitude. I won't use them again.

My parents were in a bind and needed work done and got sold a bill of goods by a plumber named Ivann. They were taken advantage of and they even told me from the start there were signs that they should've called someone else. It's unfortunate they couldn't get a job done for a fair price by someone. I called another company after the fact and read the invoice to them and learned my parents were overcharged by nearly double, and that some of the work likely didn't even need to be completed.

Price gauging incorporated is the proper name for this company. Got quoted $7,600 for replacing an existing water heater. The technician probably thought that since I called from out of town, needed to take care of a tenant, and speak English with an accent that he could get away with this pervertedly excessive estimate. The water heater at issue retails for $1,500.00 plus installation. But for the weight and being bulky there is not much to installing a water heater. Any experienced plumber and his helper can install a water heater in max 2 hours. I ended up paying $2,700.00, still too much for the installation portion of the job, but Vegas contractors are notorious for price gauging.

Thank you for your inadequate, nauseatingly arrogant boiler plate language response. You set the policy in your company and you encouraged shameless price gauging. No, you are not striving to provide fair professional service. And, seriously why would I bother calling you after having completed the job for $2,700.00 for which you quoted me $7,600.00. Your responses lack credibility.

The technician tried to sell ne a service contract for 6 months or one year service and/ or warranty.

I could not believe this guy wanted to charge me 700.00 to snake my kitchen sink. Then another 129.00 just for coming out! This is outrageous since I had just had my tub unclogged a few months back for 120.00 all after hours. I told him to go away. Is this how they make their money by coming out and quote outrageous prices then charged me

Never got the estimate. Contacted them through their website and asked for estimate, received a $0 invoice, but no estimate. Hawthorne definitely let us down. So we had no choice but to give the contracts to the one's who did show up and give us estimates. We ended up hiring both of the other companies, each had best prices in certain areas.
