Big Bear Lake Cabins, es una experiencia donde estar adentro de una cabaña es recordar los momentos vividos en rancho que solo puedes escuchar como el viento mueve las ramas de los arboles.

The location of this house was great for Skiing and Snowboarding. You could walk to Snow Summit but was any easy drop off by car. The house was the perfect size for a family of 4 and had a fenced in yard for our 3 dogs. The one downside is that the house had no supplies other than the basics. There was no extra toilet paper or trash bags no cooking supplies other than salt and pepper. Would have been so helpful to have some of the basics so we did not have to buy EVERYTHING. We asked them to bring us some extra toilet paper and trash bags and they never brought them. We would love to come back again just hope next time there is a bit more in the house to help with the stay. Thank you.

Beautiful little cabin for 3 in a lovely neighborhood near the lake. It would be 5 stars if the owner was doing a little bit of remodeling/refreshing. The only one little bathroom looks old and crapy with mold in the bathtub area and leak in a corner by the sink. The cleaning crew just change the sheets and cleaned the sinks and bathroom. The carpet didn't looked like it has been vacuumed, dust on furnitures, and spiderwebs all around. Also on the bathroom floor in a corner by the sink where there was a leak there was a pile of long hair. Again it just need quick fixing and little remodeling to be perfect, next time we'll ask for another cabin. All that said, the people from Big Bear Vacations are all great and sweet, we'll use their service again.

I booked with Big Bear Vacations for my son's 8th birthday and we stayed at the Knickerbocker Resort. The cabin itself was hard to find, however the reps were helpful with assisting us to find it. The first night was rough, the heater was not working (the pilot was not lit) and there were space heaters throughout the cabin. However, the space heaters were not strong or big enough to heat the whole cabin. In addition, the space heaters were old and were not safe to be around children. (We had a 2 year old with us and were afraid he would burn himself if he touched them). We were miserably cold the first night (the office was closed and we could not reach anyone)! I had to leave early the next morning to go speak with someone about getting the heat turned on. Within 30 minutes someone was out to turn on the pilot, thankfully. So we woke up to cook breakfast in the morning and SURPRISE, the cooking pots and pans, dishes and utensils were dirty, old and not clean enough to be used. So we had to clean and sanitize everything before using it. I was really disappointed because especially during COVID I would have thought that they would have taken time for everything to be cleaned properly. I did reach out to Big Bear Vacations and they were apologetic and seemed to be understanding. Our trip did get better after this. I think the big picture is: Big Bear Vacations needs to make sure the cabins in which they are renting out are updated, clean and working properly before guests come in. Other than this, I had no concerns because the people working the front desk were responsive and the maintenance man was nice, friendly and efficient.

We picked a cabin to stay in by lake but when we got there it was nothing like the picture. I had ask agent, in advance, if the beds are good since we are seniors and need a good bed, agent said they were very good. The beds were TERRIBLE and I called the office and told them that the cabin was not acceptable with a tiny tv size of a computer screen and the bed mattress were bad. They upgraded us to a large house on Finch St and thought it was great till disasters happen. Used the toliet and it over flowed, no plunger, so water went all over the floor. We had to use towels to soak up water and luckily my husband knew how to turn the water off in the toliet or we would of prob. had a flood. Called emergency through the property mgmt and a maintenance guy came out. He Fixed the toliet, then we realized we had no remote for TV, the maintenance guy searched for over half hour till he found the remote between sofa. Maintenance guy was there for over an hour trying to get tv's to work in both rooms. The patio was very dirty and we had no broom to clean it off. Saw trash in the yard. The laundry door was off the rail. The blinds in most of the rooms were bent and needed to be replaced and some you couldn't even work the blinds. Blender did not have a top to it so could not use. Refrigerator was on high and froze our food which we had to throw out most of our food, as we didn't know it was on high. The ice machine in Ref did not work. Next day we went out and came back and the key would not open the front door. Had to call office and wait over 15 minutes for a maintenance guy to come and open door which he had to go to office to get another key to work better, that was another 30 minutes. Maintenance guy tried to fix the ice maker and thought he had it taken care of but it never did make ice. Nice house but needs alot of work and should have info on how to work a TV like must places have instructions.

It's ok at best. The company is great, aka the staff, but the cabins are less than par. Dirty and not comfortable. After shreading or hiking this is not a cabin I want to come back to and hang. Especially for the price. Better off spending the extra cash for a lodge room. But planning ahead of course.

Company renting place was fine - easy to work with. Actual place we stayed in Big Bear - Pines and Needles - needed some work. Nice large living area but game room completely broken apart with really not one game that actually worked. Kitchen lacking many basic things - 2 cutting knives so dull they are worthless. Comes with one trash bag and the requirement that all trash be taken to a dump 1 mile away by the renter. Some things just seemed kind of junky for a place renting for over $600/night

My husband and I stayed in the cabin "Lake View 104" in the shore acres property. It is a dog friendly cabin. We stayed for two nights. The staff at Big Bear Vacations were very friendly and welcoming. We took advantage of the late check in hours provided. At check in they gave us a cute little jar that had individual spices (Salt, Pepper, Garlic Salt, Curry, Paprika) We finally arrive to our cabin after our long drive. The cabin was not inviting at all. There were stains in the carpet, a rip in the large rocking chair, my husband had to re wash most of the pots/pans out of the cabinets. The "master" bedroom's floor is much lower than the rest of the house, it felt as if it was sinking into the ground. The biggest issue we had was the queen sized bed in the master. It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. You can feel the springs while you lay on it and every move you make it squeaks. After hiking all day we just wanted a good nights rest and unfortunately we did not get it. Although we had issues with the furniture we were presently surprised the kitchen was stocked with a coffee pot as we were expecting the 'bare necessities'.The cabin is in a good area, close drive to most things. Our dog requires a lot of walks, she is a super active pup, and one thing we noticed is there wasn't any good walking paths. If you wanted to walk, you would have to walk on the road and pray you don't get hit as some cars speed down the back roads. The check out process was easy, just leave the key in the lock box and you're done.

Our family had a great time in Big Bear. I am giving 3.5 stars because there is a lot to do at the lake. The town was very nice and walk-able and the restaurants we tried were great. people working the restaurants and shops were all very nice. The rental home was nice for the price. We did not expect a completely remodeled and updated home and the pictures that are up on the website are true to what you see in person. We had two concerns once we arrived, the first concern was the amount of cobwebs on all the windows in the house, and the second concern was hair on the sheets. One of the rooms bed sheets had a large amount of hair on it (almost like a dog slept on the bed). So much so that we had to move people to another bedroom (we pulled these sheets off and balled them up on the bed). This didn't affect us because one room wasn't being used. Not a big deal, but the kitchen table and chairs were a little unstable and should probably be replaced. The kitchen and available dishes and utensils worked for our family of seven. We spent most of our time outdoors and would do it again.

First the good: Location is great! Just down the street from Snow Summit. The cabin is a great SIZE and the bedrooms are set up pretty nice, with an oversize bedroom (1 queen and bunkbeds) and bath downstairs great for a small family, a big bedroom with 2 queens and lots of room, and then 1 small bedroom w/ a queen bed and dresser. The kitchen is good size with LOTS of counter space and a big natural wood bar as well as a breakfast nook seating area for eating! Beautiful natural rock fireplace too. Comfy sofas and nice wrap around deck with jacuzzi. Now the bad: We had ANTS invade our cupboard and countertops. The coffee pot must have had a hairline crack, because Every pot we made leaked all over the counter. Very outdated decor, bedding, and furniture. The spa is very Small...only 4 can go in very comfortably. If you're all super small, you could get in 5.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay, however I have stayed in better cabins in Big Bear. It comfortably fits a party of 11 it just isn't the cleanest or most updated cabin. The furniture is outdated and the bathrooms look like they could use a remodel or to at least be kept more clean, like the shower curtains and floors. I chose this house because of the jacuzzi, and unfortunately Big Bear Vacations was not able to fix it till the last night we were there. As kind as the people of Big Bear Vacations were I still prefer going though airbnb. Check in was at 4 at the Big Bear Vacations office, they said they would call me to let me know when my cabin was ready but never did and when I did arrive to the office there was a huge line and we did not get into our cabin till about 5. The nice thing was that because of the jacuzzi not being fixed and the late check in they let us check out late at 12 PM instead of 10 AM.

Home was spacious and located in great location - in walking distance to Big Bear Village. On check out day, I called the office asking for a late checkout. The representative, who's name I didn't write but it was a male employee, indicated the house was rented for the weekend so a late check out could not be accomodated. I asked if I can stay until 10:30 am at the very latest. I was told that would be fine and to text the office once we check out. At approximately 10:10 am, we received a distributing message from the office indicating that their inspection team (cleaning crew) was at the house and that we needed to get out now. This was followed up by a text. We vacated the house at 10:30 am and the inspection team started to clean the house, but the tone of the ladies voice who called and left a message and sent texts was uncalled for and made us feel as though we were in the wrong. I felt this was totally uncalled for based on my earlier conversation with an office representative and ended what, otherwise, was a fabulous stay in Big Bear.

It's hard to give a star rating because vacations are what you make of them and my husband and I were determined to have a good trip. There were a couple bumps that could have de-railed our trip though if we would have allowed it and it all started with check in. Big Bear Vacations requires some "tenants" to check in at their office locations right near the village. Check in is at 4 and we received a text message at 10 am that day stating that the offcie was running behind. I called them at 3 to see if the cabin would be available at 4 and they suggested my husband and I run errands or get an early dinner. We did so and arrived at the office at 5 and it was absolute chaos. The main check-in area was overflowing with confused and angry guests into the grocery store portion of the office. We waited in line for approximately 45 minutes listedning to a girl take phone calls and tell people she had no idea when their cabin would be ready and some people had been to their cabins to find no keys in the lockbox or maids cleaning. She then made an announcement that all of their maids were currently unreachable and that she wasnt sure what cabins had been cleaned or not and that she couldnt let people check in until she confirmed that info. When it was finally our turn she was looking extremely stressed but upon finding our reservation paperwork told us that she would go downstairs and get ours and another couples keys. We waited another 30 minutes and finally we all started wondering what had happened to her. A gentleman and another girl came in saying that she had left the premissis and that they dont know where she had gonebut that they couldnt find her anywhere. We were then directed to go to the main check in area and wait in line again where our check in could be completed. We finally left the check in office around 6:30 and headed to our cabin. The women that finally checked us in had advised us contact the manager to see if compensation would be offered but we have called twice and havent been called back. The other 2 issues were that you are required to take all trash to a Clean Bear site and wash all dishes before you leave, which is fine. However, our cabin had zero trash bags or dish towels and no paper towels. We had to air dry all of our dishes and carry all of our trash to the site in our hands! During check in, we were adivised that to check out, all we needed to do was to secure the property and leave the keys in the lockbox, no return to the office was necessary. On our way down the mountain, I receieved another text daying we never checked out and to confim we had. This was a little frustratung because check out is at 10 am and the text was received at 12 and I did not want to have a late check out fine. The office did confirm that the text is just standard though and there wasnt a fine. Communication and proper staffing seem to be a big issue but our cabin was nice and my husband and I enjoyed our vacation despite the check in and trash issue.

We had a nice stay, the Cabin is in a good location, nice size cabin. Room size were very spacious, the loft was very nice, used it as bedroom. Some updated amenities would make this place 4 star, Beds are very hard, I could feel the coils which made it very uncomfortable, the central heat was not working and cabin was so cold, fortunately we had logs for the fireplace and kept the cabin warm.
