I have just taken my two dogs to Dagenham Goddard vets. I cannot praise the staff enough they were polite friendly and very knowledgeable. My dog can be a little reactive to being touched but Dianne and Laurence were amazing with him very patient and kind and managed to get a blood test with no problems.

*** One of the best veterinary practices I have ever been to *** Today I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the registered veterinary nurses at the Goddard Dagenham branch as I needed an urgent appointment for my cocker spaniel. I was speaking to a lovely lady called Dianne. My cocker spaniel was in an argument with one of my other dogs and was injured Superficially, I’m just not acting herself. Even though they were very busy, Dianne went out of her way to make space in the diary to accommodate my Jessie . Dianne was so professional during the conversation she put my mind that is straight away reassuring me that I have a consultation with an excellent vet Lawrence. When I attended the practice, I was greeted with warm faces and very reassuring knowledgeable comments that really put my mind at is. Dianne, you are amazing. I had to consultation with veterinary surgeon Lawrence, who gave my animal a full check over from nose to tail. Every step of the way he explained why he was doing and gave me great advice on how to prevent this happening again. From someone that suffers with partial blindness, Lawrence read through all the information packs just so I would understand fully the steps I need to take to prevent this situation happen again. He was excellent and gave my animal, some pain, relief and prescribed pain relief for the next couple of days so Jessie would not be in pain. He even went as far as to give me a contact number for a dog trainer that specializes in reactive dogs, which I thought was so kind and professional. I honestly would recommend this veterinary practice to everybody I meet. I wish there was more people in the world like Dianne and Lawrence. Thank you both so much. From me and Jessie

I recently had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Dr. Laurence B and Fran the receptionist at Goddard Vets. I took my beloved pet in as she was unwell. At the time there was no vets available so the receptionist Fran had a look and told us it was flystrike, even though she was not a vet and is not insured to tell us. She told us to leave the cat, and when the vet comes back he would have a look and call us straightaway. She told us the price for this would be 200-400 no more than that.we kept waiting for a call, we called many times no answer. Then Fran answered and said vet is with her will update us after he has taken look. However on the contrary, Dr. Laurence B’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional and disheartening. Dr. Laurence B performed a procedure on my pet without consulting me or obtaining my authorization. I was horrified and felt completely blindsided. This lack of communication and disregard for my consent is utterly unacceptable. Then he gave me a bill of £570, which falsely included a bill for consultation of £88 which we didn’t have. From the moment we walked in to pick up my pet, it was clear that Dr. Laurence B had no genuine interest in my pet's well-being, His demeanor was cold and dismissive, making the entire visit feel like an inconvenience rather than a compassionate healthcare service. He told us we can pay £400 but he will not give medicine, and told us the cat will eventually die.I left feeling extremely upset and anxious about my pet’s health. This experience was deeply unsettling and has made me seriously reconsider the validity of Goddard Vets. Dr. Laurence B’s lack of empathy, professionalism, and respect for my role as my pet's owner was a huge letdown. I would not recommend him to anyone who cares about receiving attentive and compassionate veterinary care. My trust in this practice has been severely shaken, and I am truly disappointed.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!! Dr Lawrence B is very unprofessional who has no manners and was being extremely rude to us making false allegations towards my dad in a disgusting manner. Instead of dealing with the matter in a professional manner he instead started to point in my sisters face and trying to make matters worse by intimidating and threatening us infront of other customers. I also had to witness him pulling his colleague Fran off the desk as she was speaking to us and was being very rude to her aswell. He did not follow correct protocols and procedures as a doctor by consenting with us of the treatment. Just got his colleague a young girl who mentioned she was worried she may lose her job goes to show what kind of place this is. His mannerism and attitude was vile and a doctor like thag should not be allowed to work there and be around animals. Stay clear of this place

Horrible experience. Very unprofessional vet with a rude and aggressive approach. Treated my mums cat without any consultation or prior agreement. Charged her for a consultation fee yet she never had a consultation, only communication was with the young receptionist. Furthermore my mother does not speak or read English, so the vet defended himself by saying she has signed the waiver and it’s her fault she does not know English. Surely it’s his duty to make my mother understand what she is signing where is the ethics, is this what he would do with a vulnerable customer. Adding to this he released our cat without giving us the aftercare medication which he said he will withhold, this was very shocking as he is a vet who knows this poor cat needs its medication, shows how professional this vet is. My sister was shouted and pointed at by this vet who was not willing to reason what so ever. We will be reporting him to Veterinary Client Mediation Service (VCMS). He has put my mums cat in danger by not giving the aftercare medication. To add to this after phoning the Ilford branch and speaking to Claire we tried to source the medication ourselves as our cat needs this. We explained the situation and the experience we had at Oxlow Lane so she said she will ring us back to see if we can get the medication from Ilford. On ringing us back she said the Oxlow lane thug vet has agreed to £400 for the treatment and medication and medication even though he was not willing to reason with us when we tried face to face. He tried to charge us £590 even though the receptionist earlier that day said no more than £400, which was the only communication we had not with the vet even then we did not agree to no treatment without speaking to him. Just clearly shows he has put our cat’s life at risk. He has put us in an unthinkable and stressful situation, my mother is distraught!!!

Put one star because it is not possible to rate zero stars. Had to travel 2 hours under the heavy just because the photo copy was not enough and the doctor had to see the 'original document'.
