My dog Bella 4 years old had no confidence and was very timid and 4 month old was a wild child so they needed lots of help. My trainer Alexis was so patient with my babies we trained at my house and off site at parks, restaurants and Home Depot we did off leash at all places mentioned and on my busy street in front of my house and they did a wonderfuol job at all places today is graduation day and Thank you Alexis and Sam ivy Paula

Prior to my experience with Sam Ivy K9 Consultants, I had never worked with a professional dog trainer. What I like most about this company is that they do not simply teach your dog tricks, nor do they train your dog for you. Rather, they teach you how to become the dog trainer and give you the confidence and skills to handle any situation on your own. The trainer we worked with, Noura, is a fantastic trainer and teacher. She helped us to feel more comfortable and confident handling our animals and was patient with us throughout the process. She never pushed us to use any training tool that we were not comfortable with and reassured us throughout the training process. One of our rescue dogs, Jerry, experienced severe anxiety around strangers. We were never able to take him to the many dog friendly bars and restaurants around Tampa for fear that he would lash out at someone. After working with Noura we are now able to take Jerry with us (a freedom he was never able to enjoy previously) and he is calm and comfortable. Noura also helped us tackle Jerry's anxiety at the vet. Before training the vet would have to heavily sedate Jerry just to examine him and give him vaccinations. Noura met us at the vet several times and taught me how to help Jerry work through his anxiety. We were able to get to the point where the vet could pet Jerry after just a few weeks of training, a major milestone for him. We still have more work to do, but now I know how to correct his behavior and how to redirect his anxiety to help him remain calm in stressful situations. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the Sam Ivy experience and I now feel that I can confidently handle my dogs in any situation. I also know that I can apply the skills that I learned through the training process to any dog that I might adopt in the future.

We had a great experience with Sam Ivy and our trainer, Alexis. She helped us reel in our out of control pug, Potato, who is now able to do things we couldn't imagine her doing before being trained. Alexis was wonderful the entire time. She was always positive, happy to answer any questions we had outside of our sessions, and was ready for everything Potato threw at her. I'd highly recommend this company as well as our trainer, Alexis.

Alexis at Sam Ivy is the best trainer ever!!!!! We met her about a month ago when we decided to try training for our 2.5 year old Hound/Retriever Mix, Luna. Luna has always been sweet but has had issues with leash reactivity, excessive barking at visitors, and a little bit of “guarding” when we were around other dogs. In just a few short weeks, Alexis turned Luna’s behavior completely around! Luna is better disciplined and is an angel to walk around other dogs now. The structure, resources and tools Sam Ivy provides are well worth it. I HIGHLY recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants to anyone looking to enroll their dog in training. Ask for Alexis, she’s incredible with all dogs, and all the dogs I’ve met that have had her as a trainer LOVE her too!

Lilly is absolutely wonderful, patient, assertive and detailed. She has helped me teach and train my golden doodle to follow directions and commands such as stay, focus, heel, etc... highly recommend Lilly.

4 Months Ago, we had the experience of being controlled by these two little guys. Most of the time they were sweet and docile, but whenever we encountered another person or animal, it was crazy. These 14 lb creatures seemed to be 20x their size. We had a ritual just to let people into our home. We reached out to Sam Ivy and everything shifted. In a matter of weeks, the behavior shifted to the point that we can walk down the street without consideration of the distractions. I would highly recommend Sam Ivy, and specifically our trainer, Alexis. Our two dogs, Mustard and Pickles, each have their own issues. Mustard has a bite history that wasn't getting better after a couple of years of rewards-based training. Pickles is pretty much afraid of everything, so going on walks and in public is usually a nightmare. After a couple of months with Alexis, both dogs are friendly and well-behaved in the home and in public! We've been able to have guests over with no aggression from Mustard, and take them to the market and out to lunch! Alexis taught us how to take on a strong leader position in the home that's made both our dogs feel comfortable and confident enough that they consistently obey our commands. Highly recommend! Especially if you're dealing with aggression or reactivity issues.
